GH Spoilers: Brook Lynn Tells Chase The Truth — Wrapped In Yet Another Lie

General Hospital Spoilers reveal Brook Lynn Quartermaine (Amanda Setton) didn’t mince words when she told her mother, Lois Cerullo (Rena Sofer), that she was considering telling Harrison Chase (Josh Swickard) the truth about her past.

There’s just one problem — she immediately realized that would mean she would have to tell Dante Falconeri (Dominic Zamprogna) the truth, too, and she’s just not ready to do that.

Cody Bell (Josh Kelly) has affirmed that he never shared her secret with anyone — not even Dante — and that means she’s free to rewrite the story however she pleases, right?

This Truly Isn’t About Brook Lynn Quartermaine

While telling Chase the truth would unburden Brook Lynn of the guilt she is feeling over having kept it a secret from him in the first place, that’s not why she wants to tell him.

Rather, she doesn’t want Chase to blame himself for Brook Lynn not being able to experience the miracle of carrying her own child.

Feeling that he robbed her of that would weigh on him, and it may alleviate his distress to know she’s already been through it — even though she was very much looking forward to doing it again with him.

Likewise, Brook Lynn hasn’t told Dante the truth all these years, and it doesn’t seem like she feels all that bad about it. What’s done is done.

Brook Lynn may not be in a court of law, but it’s not going to reflect well on her that she went to extra lengths to make sure the truth couldn’t get out.

Rushing to confirm with the only other person — besides her mother, Lois Cerullo (Rena Sofer) — who ever knew about her teenage pregnancy was just Brook Lynn trying to pre-emptively tie up loose ends.

She didn’t want to risk having Dante find out, and it seems if there was any risk of that, she would probably decide to keep it all under wraps and never tell Chase.

Little White Lies

Ready to wipe the slate clean, and hopeful that her hubs will forgive her for her lie of omission, Brook Lynn is readying to tell Chase that she already had a baby a long time ago. It’s likely she’ll paint a story of guilt, shame, or embarrassment.

Maybe she’ll tell him it was a painful experience for her that she doesn’t like to dwell on. Nothing will really make up for her keeping it from him, but we get the sense that they’ll get through this little white lie.

It’s the much bigger one that’s going to be a problem — when Brook Lynn makes up another story about the baby’s father to ensure that Chase never figures out it was Dante, and likewise that Dante never figures it out either.
