General Hospital Spoilers – Rick Springfield Talks About California Wildfires

Rick Springfield has witnessed the devastation that has taken place in LA and beyond, but thankfully his home was not one of the tens of thousands destroyed by the flames.

Many celebrities have lost their homes to the raging wildfires and The Jessie’s Girl singer notes some of his friends have lost everything.

According to the rock star, the decimated landscape “looks like London in the aftermath of a World War Two bombing run.” He wrote on Facebook that living in Malibu is “more of a challenge than we anticipated.”

GH News – Rick Springfield Discusses LA Tragedy

Springfield told fans that he has considered leaving the Golden State but can’t decide where he would like to relocate.

He wrote “I’d move to Nashville but they have tornados. I’d move to Florida but they have hurricanes. (Side note: they also have Disneyworld which kind of balances the bad stuff) I’d move to Wyoming but they have that giant caldera under Yellowstone. I’d move to Texas but they have a pretty strict dress code. I’d move to Alaska but I’d rather not freeze to death at this point in my existence. I’d move to Nevada but obviously they have a gambling problem etc etc.”

Like his former co-star Nancy Lee Grahn (Alexis Davis), Springfield criticized the government’s choices as part of the problem. He added that a lack of insurance and no brush clearance exacerbates the problem.

General Hospital Spoilers – California Wildfires Discussed By Soap Stars

He wrote: “I’m just saying that we humans have an indomitable spirit and we will rise from the (literal) ashes of these tragedies. Sending healing and prayers for strength to everyone who has suffered. We have a family member whose child’s school burned down and every little kid in his class lost their house.”

At the same time the GH alum made sure to thank his fans for their support and he gave a shout out to the “heroic firefighters and first responders.”
