Natalia Livingston is best known for her role as Emily Quartermaine and her twin sister, Rebecca Shaw on the show.

Natalia Spoke Up On An Interview On The Then Is Now Podcast

Natalia opened up about her journey into the world of daytime soap operas. She portrayed Emily until her character met her end in 2007-throughout the years, she made guest appearances in 2013 and 2014.

In a recent interview, she discussed the possibility of making a comeback, and she recounted her big break on the ABC soap, noting that she auditioned for various acting roles.

However, breaking into the entertainment industry proved to be a challenging endeavor. Initially, Livingston was unsure about joining the show, but her father encouraged her to think of it as a “vacation” rather than just a “job.”

Natalia Shared She Was Green When She First Started

Livingston acknowledged that she was quite inexperienced when she began her career; despite having participated in numerous acting classes, this was her debut on television.

The experience of performing on screen differs significantly from that of the theater. Instead of watching the soap opera, Livingston preferred to understand the family dynamics from the perspective of the producers and writers.

Emily met her end in November 2007 at the hands of the text message killer, Diego Alcazar (Ignacio Serrichio).

However, two years later, Livingston made a comeback as Emily’s twin sister, Rebecca Shaw, who didn’t die, but moved to Paris, France.

Would Natalia Return To The Soap?

She reflected that it may have been a “mistake” for the show to eliminate Emily’s character; she’s eager to return even if it means taking on a smaller role.

Livingston expressed a strong desire to return to GH, although managing the demanding soap opera schedule might prove difficult due to her responsibilities as a mother of two young children.

She feels a deep connection to the show, considering it a large family where she has formed numerous friendships.

Reflecting on her time there, she described it as a truly remarkable chapter in her life, filled with cherished relationships. Recently, she had dinner with Rick Hearst (Ric Lansing), who has just rejoined the GH cast, along with his wife, Donna.

Natalia Keeps In Close Contact With Several Show Alumni

Natalia shared, “I frequently chat with Tamara Braun, who played one of the previous Carly Spencers, and we even have a writing group together.” She also expressed that Cynthia Preston, known for her role as Faith Rosco, is “a very close friend.”

Additionally, she keeps in contact with Alicia Leigh Willis (Courtney Matthews) and Derk Cheetwood (Max Giambetti).

With her ongoing connections to most of the cast, a return seems quite plausible-fans are eager to see Livingston back on screen. What do you think; should she reprise her role, or perhaps return as her twin sister Rebecca, or take on a different character altogether?
