The intense New Year saga unfolded with Suki Panesar (Balvinder Sopal) tying the knot with her true love, Eve Unwin (Heather Peace).
However, their joy was short-lived as the nefarious Nish Panesar (Navin Chowdhry) poisoned Eve and then dragged Suki into his chaotic downfall.
After provoking his son, Ravi Gulati (Aaron Thiara), into pushing him from a hotel balcony, Ravi thought he killed his former stepmother in addition to his father.
Fortunately, both Suki and Eve Panesar-Unwin managed to escape these life-threatening situations, alongside Denise Fox (Diane Parish), who also fell victim to Nish’s attacks.
Ultimately, the villainous Nish met his end, bringing a sense of closure to the harrowing events.
After the shocking events of New Year’s Day and the murder of his wicked father Nish, Ravi is filled with guilt for nearly killing his former stepmother, Suki.
The Panesar-Gulati family is still struggling with the aftermath on Monday-meanwhile, Eve, who was recently poisoned, becomes anxious at the hospital when Suki’s condition worsens.
Fortunately, the doctors act quickly to help her; later, Ravi goes to the hospital to ask Suki for forgiveness, but will she grant it?
Ravi visits Denise after their meeting, and they share a heartfelt conversation. The following day at No. 41, Suki’s family celebrates her coming home from the hospital, marking a new beginning for them. Later, Denise stops by to see Suki, and their talk quickly shifts to Ravi.
Denise and Ravi have become newly re-involved, with Denise torn between another ex, Jack Branning (Scott Maslen) and Ravi. Will Denise reveal her rekindled relationship with her ex-stepson to Suki?
After Nish’s death, Davinder “Nugget” Gulati (Juhaim Rasul Choudhury) will be dealing with a lot, especially since Priya Nandra-Hart (Sophie Khan Levy) helped hide his connection to Nish’s time as a fugitive.
At the beginning of the week, Nugget’s uncle Vinny Panesar (Shiv Jalota) tries to reach out to him. Will he find out how much Nish influenced Nugget’s life?
Meanwhile, as Suki comes back from the hospital, it becomes clear that Nugget is preoccupied with something. What could be bothering him now?
As the week starts, Nigel Bates (Paul Bradley), who has just returned, lends a hand to his old friend Kathy Cotton (Gillian Taylforth) at her busy cafe during lunch.
Before long, he is offered a job there. However, new employee Nigel soon encounters questions from Billy Mitchell (Perry Fenwick) about his reasons for coming back to Walford, revealing that Nigel is keeping a secret.
The following day, Billy is even more stunned when a reckless Phil Mitchell (Steve McFadden) unexpectedly transfers his share of the boxing den to a surprised Nigel.
On Wednesday, Nigel talks to Phil during breakfast about his confusing choice and tries to back out of the agreement, but Phil stands firm.
Seeking assistance from Sharon, Nigel shares the details of Phil’s actions, prompting her to enlist the help of Teddy Mitchell (Roland Manookian) and Jay Brown (Jamie Borthwick). They attempt to persuade Phil, though their efforts yield little success.
Meanwhile, Nigel is scheming to make a quick getaway from Albert Square but soon finds solace in the familiar surroundings of the launderette. This is a place that holds memories of his late friend Dot Branning (June Brown).
Inside, he encounters another of Dot’s old companions, Yolande Trueman (Angela Wynter), and during a heartfelt conversation, Nigel opens up about the real reason behind his return.
As the week draws to a close, Phil grows increasingly anxious about Nigel’s whereabouts, prompting him and Sharon to team up in their search. When Phil eventually discovers Nigel deep in conversation with Yolande, will he finally uncover the truth?
Spoiler images for the week reveal Nigel and Yolande inside Dot’s home, where he also engages in a tense discussion with the menacing Reiss Colwell (Jonny Freeman).
Reiss remains fixated on securing the release of his pregnant fiancée, Dot’s step-granddaughter Sonia Fowler (Natalie Cassidy). Sonia is paying for Reiss’s own crime, Reiss having murdered his wife, not Sonia!
Elaine Knight (Harriet Thorpe) organizes an urgent meeting at the Queen Vic for the Knight family at the beginning of the week to uncover the culprit who attacked Cindy Beale (Michelle Collins).
During the meeting, suspicion falls heavily on Cindy’s boyfriend, Junior Knight (Micah Balfour), leading him to make a dramatic statement to the crowd in the pub to defend himself.
This surprising announcement triggers a fight between Junior and Peter Beale (Thomas Law), followed by George Knight (Colin Salmon) confronting his son with some hard truths.
Afterward, Junior decides to visit Cindy in the hospital, only to face another unexpected surprise!
Is reconciliation possible for Elaine and George-on Tuesday, their marriage struggles continue, with Elaine questioning her husband’s true feelings after his actions on Christmas Day. Can they mend their relationship, or is it too late?
Later that day, Elaine, Anna, and Gina stumble upon a revelation that could change everything-what secret will Peter Beale (Thomas Law) hide from his sisters?
As the week progresses, the three women think about how to handle their discovery, and when Gina and Anna attempt to get rid of what they found, Peter follows them.
As the week comes to an end, Peter asks his half-sisters for answers before they share what they know. In return, Peter promises to keep their secret, but is this decision wise for any of them?
Finally, Ian Beale (Adam Woodyatt) is continuing to deal with the aftermath of Christmas Day in his own way. Peter grows worried as his father still hasn’t been to see Cindy in the hospital, but Ian brushes off his son’s concerns.
Later on, however, Ian gets a call with an update from the hospital-will it be good news? We’re scant on details but images for the week also show Peter with a struggling and pregnant Lauren Branning (Jacqueline Jossa) in a conversation with an unidentified woman.
Could this be related to the care of son Louie Beale (Jake McNally) after the fire before Christmas, or helping Lauren get the professional help with her painkiller addiction that she needs?
