DOOL Spoilers: What’s Going On With Sophia Choi?

Days of Our Lives (DOOL) spoilers suggest some fans may have been caught off guard during the February 12 episode.

After all, Sophia Choi appeared; however, it was not the same Sophia that viewers have grown accustomed to.

That’s because a new Sophia debuted during Wednesday’s show, and SOS has all the details on this.

Rachel Boyd Enters the Land of Salem!

This past January, TV Insider broke the news that actress Rachel Boyd would be replacing OG Sophia, Madelyn Kientz, who originated the role in the spring of 2024.

During the February 12 episode, Sophia and Tate Black (Leo Howard) went to meet potential parents who were interested in adopting their baby.

The couple met all the requirements that were sure to convince Sophia’s mom, Amy Choi (Shi Ne Nielson) to okay the adoption since she was against the idea.

Sadly, the parents canceled the meeting stating they were no longer interested. They called on short notice, and Sophia felt as if the conversation was awkward and weird. Did Amy get to the couple to convince them against the entire thing?

The good news is that, even though Kientz has exited the Sophia role, it looks like the character’s storyline will continue on with Boyd, in full force.

Boyd’s Acting History

While Boyd is a newcomer to the land of soaps, she has been acting for about a decade now.

She’s made appearances on television shows like Grand Army, The Bold Type, and the made-for-TV flick, He’s Not Worth Dying For. In addition, the actress recently starred in Prime Video’s Boot Camp.

Boyd caught up with Young Hollywood and talked about her Days experience so far. She noted, “The people here are some of the kindest people I have ever met. The storylines are heightened for sure, but I found that really fun to play.”

The actress added, “Everybody here is very passionate and dedicated, and that makes it easy to be excited about the work we’re doing.”
