‘DOOL’ Spoilers: Joy & Philip’s Relationship – Just Friends Or Is A Romance Brewing?

Days of Our Lives spoilers suggest that Joy Wesley (AlexAnn Hopkins) and Philip Kiriakis (John-Paul Lavoisier) are getting friendly by the moment.

When the two first bumped into each other in Salem, there was a little animosity. After all, the latest failed attempt at a relationship with her sister, Chloe Lane (Nadia Bjorlin) left Joy not pleased to see Philip.

Still, as weeks passed, these two warmed up to each other. He’s given her a job at Titan, and the two are working cohesively. Is romance on the horizon?

Their History

On the one hand, it may seem odd for Joy and Philip to come together. After all, there’s the age difference, and Philip had mentioned that he watched Joy grow up.

Philip and Chloe have been on again/off again over the years, so he’s been a staple in Joy’s life for as long as she can remember.

Having them get together in a romantic way may borderline creepy, but this is the land of soaps where anything is possible.

Joy’s an adult now, so a relationship may work; depending on whether or not sparks fly between the two.

Baby Daddy Scheme?

Then again, as Joy is pregnant, there’s always a chance the two ditch a romance, but he helps her out in another way. Joy genuinely does not want to cause problems for Alex Kiriakis (Robert Scott Wilson), who’s currently back together with Stephanie Johnson (Abigail Klien).

She has yet to tell Alex about the baby, so could Philip and Joy become close enough when he agrees to pretend to be Joy’s baby’s daddy? Would he even agree to something like this considering he’s no fan of Alex or Stephanie, for that matter?

With that said, Philip may like the idea of having a child and an heir to his side of the Titan throne. This would also launch an interesting storyline where Joy desperately tries to keep the paternity of her baby hidden.
