DOOL Spoilers: Is The Soap Hinting At A Sami & Rafe Romantic Reunion?

Days of Our Lives spoilers suggest that Sami Brady (Alison Sweeney) is headed back to the land of Salem very soon.

With all the Arnold Feniger (Galen Gering) shenanigans as of late, not to mention the truth coming out about Johnny DiMera’s (Carson Boatman) conception, could the show be hinting at a Sami/Rafe Hernandez (Galen Gering) romantic reunion?

Rafe Hernandez’s Current Relationship Status

Rafe is currently engaged; however, how long could this last? After all, Jada Hunter (Elia Cantu) cheated on him while he was held hostage at Aremid.

It wasn’t exactly her fault – she believed that Arnold was Rafe and that he dumped her at the altar, but not coming clean about her one-night stand with Shawn-Douglas Brady (Brandon Beemer) since Rafe’s return is sure to tear them apart when the truth comes out. Will Sami swing by to pick up the pieces?

Johnny DiMera’s Recent Scene

Light has been shed on Sami and Rafe’s love story within scene dialogue a lot recently, mainly thanks to Arnold.

Fans have been reminded time and time again that Arnold was brought to Salem at the hands of EJ DiMera (Dan Feuerriegel) and Stefano DiMera (Joseph Mascolo) to ruin Rafe’s bond with Sami and Johnny, but mostly to destroy Sami and Rafe’s marriage.

Sami and Rafe’s relationship was never really the same after Arnold blew into town. A recent scene where Rafe told Johnny that he could always lean on him seemed to remind fans of the bond these two once shared.

They were very close; Rafe was his stepfather and acted like a father figure. Thanks to Sami and Rafe’s love affair, he was a pivotal person in Johnny’s life growing up.

Interestingly enough, one of the last times Sami blew into Salem, she and Rafe had a one-night stand. Could lightning strike twice? If Rafe is dealing with heartache over Jada’s mistake – a move triggered by EJ – could Sami console him? Could these two reconnect?

It doesn’t seem as if Sami will return to Salem full-time, but there’s always a chance for their romance to be rekindled, even for a short while.
