DOOL Spoilers: Could Johnny & Chanel End Up Adopting Joy’s Baby?

Days of Our Lives spoilers suggest that Joy Wesley (AlexAnn Hopkins) may have skipped town, but as she’s carrying a Kiriakis, it’s only a matter of time before she blows back into Salem. What could her return storyline be?

Chanel & Johnny’s Adoption Storyline

Currently, Days of Lives spoilers hint that Chanel DiMera (Raven Bowens) and Johnny DiMera (Carson Boatman) are trying to adopt Sophia Choi (Rachel Boyd) and Tate Black’s (Leo Howard) baby.

However, one obstacle remains in the form of Sophia’s mom, Amy Choi (Shi Ne Nielson)! Amy was taken aback during a lunch the couple had, with both EJ DiMera (Dan Feuerriegel) and Paulina Price (Jackée Harry) present.

Unfortunately, Gabi Hernandez (Cherie Jimenez) and Jada Hunter (Elia Cantu) stormed in and spilled the tea on some scandalous things EJ had done.

This rubbed Amy the wrong way. Still, the good news is that Paulina (as Salem’s Mayor) was able to smooth things over. With that said, this doesn’t mean Janel snagging Baby Black is a sure thing.

What Happens If Sophia Wants To Keep The Baby?

There’s a good chance that Sophia will want to keep her baby. As Doug Williams III (Peyton Meyer) gets closer to Holly Jonas (Ashley Puzemis), Sophia and Tate continue to establish a bond in addition to their closeness over pending parenthood. When Sophia delivers, she and Tate may realize they want to keep her baby.

Could Janel decide to go to a reputable adoption agency so they can sign a contract and not get burned the way they did with Sophia and Tate?

Of course, adoption takes forever, but in the land of soaps, the two might get moved quickly through the process for one reason or another. In an interesting twist of fate, could Janel end up adopting Joy’s baby?

Would fans know this right away or have an inkling if the baby came from “New York City”? Would they potentially name Alex Kiriakis (Robert Scott Wilson) as the Godfather? Would Joy return to Salem for the entire thing, or would she hide behind her adoption contract?
