DOOL Recent Scene Hints Fertility Issues Coming Johnny & Chanel’s Way

Days of Our Lives (DOOL) spoilers reveal that after plenty of ups and downs, Johnny DiMera (Carson Boatman) and Chanel DiMera’s (Raven Bowens) marriage is back on track.

The two recently decided that perhaps it was time to revisit the idea of growing their family.

Still, a recent scene suggests there might be trouble on the horizon for Janel and their baby-making journey.

The Miscarriage Rocked Janel

Janel unexpectedly got pregnant in the spring of 2024. While they also found out there was a risk of their child being born with defects, they decided to move forward with the pregnancy, and both were excited about being parents.

Sadly, Chanel miscarried shortly after the fact. The couple would move on to experience some problems that included Johnny’s jealousy of Chanel’s Body and Soul co-star, Alex Kiriakis (Robert Scott Wilson).

He believed at one point that the two were having an affair, which led him to share a drunken night with Joy Wesley (AlexAnn Hopkins).

Thankfully nothing happened between Chanel or Alex, and while Joy and Johnny almost did the deed, he stopped before they crossed a line.

Now Janel has reunited, and is ready for a baby, could they suffer from a setback with infertility?

There Are No Coincidences in The Land Of Salem

Janel ran into Sophia Choi (Rachel Boyd) and Tate Black (Leo Howard) during the Wednesday, February 12 episode.

The pregnant teens were supposed to meet with a prospective couple looking to adopt their unborn baby, but the couple backed out. Sophia and Tate told Chanel and Johnny about their pregnancy woes and unsupportive mom.

Chanel and Johnny talked about how bad they felt for Sophia and Tate after their chat, and fans can’t help but speculate that Janel may become the couple that ends up adopting the teens’ baby. After all, there are no coincidences in Salem, and these characters rarely interact.

Was this scene the start of a possible storyline that involves Janel, Tate, and Sophia? Janel will likely think of the teens if they stumble upon fertility issues and can’t conceive on their own. But will they end up adopting the baby or will something – or someone – stop them?

Will Janel suffer from infertility? Will they decide to go on another route to expand their family?
