DOOL Alum Peter Reckell (Bo Brady) Wants To Come Back To Salem

Days of Our Lives spoilers and updates reveal Peter Reckell is recognized for his contributions to the series; recently, a fan honored the actor on social media.

The fan was  pleasantly surprised to receive a reply from Reckell-he even reflected on what his future might hold on the show.

Reckell Started On The Show In 1983

For many soap opera enthusiasts, Reckell is most famously recognized for his role as Bo Brady on Days of Our Lives.

He first brought this character to life from 1983 to 1987, before making a comeback in 1990 and reprising the role intermittently over the years. Reckell also featured in several spin-offs, including Days of Our Lives: Beyond Salem.

Within the series, Bo is depicted as the son of Victor Kiriakis (played by John Aniston) and Caroline Brady (portrayed by Peggy Brady).

His character is known for engaging in various relationships, notably with Hope Williams (Kristian Alfonso), Carly Manning (Crystal Chappell), and Billie Reed (Lisa Rinna). In classic soap opera style, recent story arcs have taken Bo through dramatic experiences, including a coma and a miraculous return to life.

The Fan Paid Tribute On X

Although Bo is likely one of Reckell’s most notable characters, he has also graced several other soap operas throughout his career.

Early on, he appeared in As the World Turns and later in the primetime series Knots Landing; recently, a fan honored Reckell in a post on X, previously known as Twitter.

They highlighted Reckell’s collaborations with a diverse array of talent over the years and encouraged him to mentor a new generation of actors.

The fan expressed, “Few young actors have had the chance to work with such high-caliber professionals, now gone, during their early years-Peter Reckell was one of them. It would be wonderful for him to come full circle and take on that mentoring role with the younger actors on the #Days set.”

The post featured a collage of Reckell alongside fellow Days of Our Lives alumni, including Frances Reid and Bill Hayes.

Reckell himself took the time to respond, expressing his agreement with the fan’s feelings, stating  “I would love to be a regular on the show and join the talented veterans there.”

More Positive Comments From Peter’s Fans

We would be thrilled to see you more often; who should we reach out to in order to make this a reality?

It shouldn’t take much persuasion for a legend like you and a hero like Bo Brady;” “We’re eager to have you reunite with the veterans, especially Steve Johnson (Stephen Nichols) and Kayla Johnson (Mary Beth Evans).

Surely, you’ve noticed the decline in writing quality under Ron and how he has overlooked veterans like MBE! We’re hopeful for some fantastic storytelling with the new writers!”

“Having you back on #Days would not only be exciting but could also pave the way for other iconic characters to return to Salem.” You could teach the younger generation a thing or two!
