Beyond the Gates (BTG) is on the cusp of its major debut, mere days away from the premiere!

The new show continues to make waves in the land of daytime drama, and a recent announcement that General Hospital’s (GH) Jon Lindstrom and soap legend Cady McClain would be joining the cast has created a buzz.

Still, as Lindstrom plays a recurring role on GH as Kevin Collins, some fans have worried about him potentially leaving Port Charles. With that said, a recent social media post offers some hope.

Jon Lindstrom Is Excited About Joining BTG

Lindstrom recently posted some excitement on the social media platform X, talking about his jump to BTG and a little bit about his new character, Joey Armstrong.

His caption begins by saying, “I’ve been quiet lately, but it’s not bcuz I wanted to be. I’ve been keeping a low profile as I commute to the wonderful world of Beyond the Gates, created by my brilliant dear friend Michele Val Jean. Personally I think this show is going to blow the roof off daytime & I could not be more proud to make even a small contribution to this ground-breaker.”

Lindstrom’s Interesting Choice Of Words …

Lindstrom used the word ‘commute’ in the post, which seems to signify he’s not moving to Atlanta, Georgia anytime soon, which is where BTG is being filmed.

As Kevin Collins is a recurring role on GH and the soap’s studios are located in Los Angeles, could this be a hint that he’ll stay on with the daytime drama and juggling the two shows?

After all, his GH colleague, Wally Kurth, who plays Ned Quartermaine in Port Charles, and also has a role on Days of Our Lives (DOOL), Justin Kiriakis, seemingly does this with ease! Only time will tell.

Meanwhile, the countdown is on! Catch BTG’s massive debut on Monday, February 24 at 2 p.m. ET on CBS, following the Young and the Restless, airing from 12:30-1:30 p.m. ET, and The Bold and the Beautiful, from 1:30-2:00 p.m. ET.
