The actress disclosed to US Magazine that she had inked “a massive deal” with Hallmark, overseen by Bill Abbott, the current CEO of Great American Family.

This agreement encompassed 16 films, intending to have  Shields play a pivotal role in rebranding the network, but  she departed after completing just three films of the Flower Shop Mystery series. “I had finished only three when I realized I needed to renegotiate; I was brought on board to help transform the network’s image,” she explained.

“ But that wasn’t the end of it-they expected me to inject humor and add a comedic touch to their lineup. Yet as I worked on each of the Flower Shop Mysteries – the series I was meant to lead – the humor seemed to vanish completely.”

Hallmark Channel Spoilers – Brooke Shields Played Abby Knight In What Turned Out To Be A Three Movie Series

Shields took center stage in the series inspired by Kate Collins’ captivating mystery novels, stepping into the role of Abby Knight.

Once a practicing attorney, Abby has traded her legal briefs for blooms as the owner of a charming flower shop-as is typical with Hallmark’s adaptations, elements were altered,  including the character’s age.

The trilogy of mysteries includes “Mum’s The Word,” which debuted in January 2016, “Snipped In The Bud,” released in April 2016, and “Dearly Depotted,” which aired in June 2016.

Alongside Brennan Elliott, the talented Beau Bridges also graced this intriguing series. True to Hallmark’s style, the network remained tight-lipped about the series’ future.

After completing three films, Brooke Shields came to the realization that this path wasn’t right for her.

“Not everything suits everyone, and there’s absolutely nothing wrong with the Hallmark Channel – it has a massive following – but it wasn’t the direction I envisioned for my career.” She continued, “I’m all for hard work, but I now prioritize opportunities that align with my goals;” she then shared how things took a turn.

 “I simply couldn’t commit to ten more films that didn’t match my expectations and felt entirely off for me;  so, I made the decision to walk away. I definitely caught some people off guard, and in many ways, I surprised myself- I certainly wouldn’t have made that choice in my 20s.”
