Did Kody Brown Put Robyn In Danger On Sister Wives?

The latest episode of Sister Wives revealed Robyn Brown getting edgy with Kody Brown after she came off an ATV. Flung quite far and tumbling, he rushed to help. But all she could do was complain because he got angry with her for riding over rocks. But, did he put her in danger?

Kody Brown Took Robyn On A Fun Run

What started as fun riding the ATVs turned into Robyn moaning about Kody being nasty to her. Concerned, he’d questioned why she rode so recklessly. 

She said in her confessional:

[Kody Brown] started yelling at me, which was funny, and I was like, ‘Dude, I wasn’t planning [on this.]” Like I just got hurt, I need like love and tenderness, not ‘Hey what are you doing?”

Robyn Brown Told Kody Her Neck Was Hurting 

In the footage, her husband told the Sister Wives star she seemed okay and noted that nothing was “broken.” Not that he actually checked her over. Next, the TLC star asked him, “Can you help me stand because my neck is hurting? “ Then she added, “We definitely have some nice whiplash.”

After the incident with Kody Brown helping her get up, Robyn said, “I didn’t lose consciousness, I felt my head hit really hard and like I kinda like saw stars.”  After that, the Sister Wives stars went off and chatted about their relationship. There, Kody told her that he loves her.

Did Kody’s Actions Potentially Put Her In Danger?

You can Google whether you should immediately remove a helmet when a person comes off an ATV. Take your pick: Numerous articles by experts say you should “never do that.” Ride Smart Florida is one of them. According to that outlet:

Motorcycle helmets should only be removed if you need to access the person’s airway. If the person is conscious, then you can help them by undoing their neck strap making it easier for them to breathe. It is their decision if they wish to fully remove their helmet but you can encourage them to leave their helmet in place until medical aid arrives.

On Sister Wives, Kody Brown rushed over, didn’t do any vital signs checks, pulled Robyn Brown into a sitting position, and took her helmet off straight away. Notably, he wasn’t all that gentle, either. 

Why Be So Careful About Removing Helmets?

The outlet went on to say that “trying to remove someone’s helmet on your own could cause more damage and worsen their injuries.” You can watch a short video below on why neck injuries can be so dangerous.
