In a candid interview with the Daily Drama Podcast, he elaborated on his departure, citing personal reasons for his choice.

The storyline has taken a somber turn for Michael, reflecting the turmoil in his life, particularly his fractured relationship with his wife, Willow Corinthos, played by Katelyn MacMullen.

In a poignant moment, Michael delivered divorce papers to Willow, underscoring the emotional weight of his character’s journey.

There’s a chance he may need to be transferred to a specialized facility for severe burns, as Lucas Jones (Van Hansis) revealed that Michael suffered burns covering forty percent of his body.

 At that moment, Lucas was uncertain about Michael’s chances of survival, leaving his mother Carly Spencer (Laura Wright) and sister Josslyn Jacks (Eden McCoy) in a state of deep distress. It can be expected to be touch and go before he’d be able to be transported to another facility.

He stated, “There are no plans to recast his role at this time, but you never know in daytime. I can promise a great story for Michael and his family when Chad exits in the new year.”
