Beyond The Gates Spoilers: Smitty Secretly Goes Back To Work And Uncovers The Secret Surrounding Martin

Beyond The Gates spoilers indicate that Bradley “Smitty” Smith (Mike Manning) had a career as a journalist, but gave it up when he married Martin Richardson (Brandon Claybon). Smitty recently told Martin that he wanted to go back to work as a journalist. Martin was against this idea, as he is well aware that Smitty would take off in his career and neglect him and his role as “househusband.”

That may not stop Smitty from going back and keeping the truth about his new job from his husband. When he stumbles upon some shocking information about his husband, he will be torn and it would create quite a pickle for himself.

Bradley Smith Is Tasked With Investigating An Unsolved Murder

After settling into his job as a journalist, Smitty would soon be assigned to write an article regarding an unsolved murder that has everyone in the area baffled. This murder happened years ago, and none of the details add up or make sense.

Smitty would have to do some investigative digging into this, and it won’t be long before he makes a connection between the victim and Martin.

He would realize also that Bill Hamilton (Timon Kyle Durrett) might also have a connection to this crime. The closer that Smitty gets, the deeper he is in.

Bradley Smith Puts The Pieces Together About Martin Richardson’s Nightmares

Knowing that Martin has had nightmares for many years, the details of what Martin has told him may lead him to conclude that Martin knows something about this particular murder as he continues his investigation for his story.

He would continually question him, and this would infuriate Martin. Martin’s nightmares would get even worse, and he would start to remember details that are buried.

Smitty would realize that Martin does not remember much, and is suppressing what happened. He will start to believe that Martin killed the victim, but knows that Martin has no memory of this.

Bradley Smith Realizes That Martin Richardson Is A Killer

Smitty would finally put the pieces together, and realize that Martin is indeed the killer! After further investigating, he would learn that Bill covered the murder up for the Dupree family to protect Martin.

This would shock Smitty to his core, and he would be torn between killing the story, or exposing the truth, which would ultimately lead to the end of Martin’s freedom and there would also be zero chance of him continuing his political career.
