Beyond The Gates Spoilers: Derek’s Concussion Changes His Personality And Ashley Turns To Andre

Beyond The Gates spoilers indicate that Andre Richardson (Sean Freeman) is falling for Ashley Morgan (Jen Jacob).

He recently tried to kiss her, but she rebuffed him. Ashley is committed to her boyfriend, Derek Baldwin (Ben Gavin), a firefighter, who was recently hospitalized with a concussion after rescuing a cat from a burning building.

Ashley has been tending to Derek, who has been advised to take it easy.

However, he made the decision to go back to work possibly before he should have. Derek’s jealousy of Andre has been intensifying. Will Derek’s Changes His Personality And condition lead to him becoming obsessed with the idea that Andre and Ashley are fooling around behind his back?

Derek Baldwin’s Concussion Worsens His Jealousy

Since he did not follow doctor’s advice, Derek could develop complications from his concussion and it would lead to some personality changes. Derek’s jealousy of Andre would first worsen, as Ashley will continue to be drawn to Andre.

Ashley and Andre have gotten closer since they delivered a baby girl together in the hospital elevator, and she does seem to like having him around. Derek has taken note of this, and is not pleased. He will grow increasingly paranoid that Ashley will leave him for Andre.

Derek Baldwin’s Personality Changes

As time goes on, Derek would develop obsessive behaviors, including the notion that Ashley is going to leave him for Andre. He would have several run-ins with Andre, and tell him to stay away from Ashley.

Nothing would be going on between Ashley and Andre at this point, and Ashley would not be pleased by Derek’s behavior.

Ashley and Derek would also have a few major confrontations at Ashley’s apartment, where Derek becomes violent. Ashley would be shocked by Derek’s behavior, and blame herself at first for being drawn to Andre.

Ashley Morgan Gets Tired of Derek Baldwin’s Behavior

After initially blaming herself, Ashley would grow tired of Derek’s violent temper and meltdowns. Andre would help her get out of that situation, and they would be drawn together yet again.

Derek would lose it if he lost Ashley to Andre, but he invited this to happen on his own. Derek would not recognize this though.

Andre Richardson And Ashley Morgan Give In To Their Feelings

Ashley would immediately give into Andre’s advances distraught about her situation with Derek. Derek would go after Ashley wanting to make things right. Seeing them together in an embrace, or even having sex, would without a shadow of a doubt set Derek off.

Perhaps Derek wouldn’t be able to control his violent tendencies resulting from his concussion, and Ashley and Andre could be in grave danger.
