Thomas had major storylines for several years before the show wrote him across the ocean to a Forrester office overseas.

He made one appearance in the past several months, and that was to tell Hope Logan (Annika Noelle) he and Paris Buckingham (Diamond White) were marrying.

As for Douglas Forrester, (Henry Joseph Samiri) he was getting a new mom, and also said goodbye to Hope.

He didn’t even show up in LA when his mother Taylor Hayes (Rebecca Budig) returned with a misdiagnosed serious heart problem-Taylor thought that she was dying! Still not even a whisper of Thomas in the dialogue, not even with the takeover of his family’s company!

While it doesn’t mean that Thomas and RJ are completely out of the picture, it does indicate that their significance has diminished.
