B&B Spoilers: Carter’s True Self Exposed – Ridge’s Breakthrough Is Just The Beginning

The Bold and the Beautiful spoilers document that Carter Walton (Lawrence Saint-Victor) didn’t expect the jewelry drop to go like this. Instead of celebrating, he argued with Hope Logan (Annika Noelle), cut his hand, confronted Ridge Forrester (Thorsten Kaye), and embraced his longtime friend.

Carter knows Ridge is right. What he did in taking over Forrester Creations was wrong. While Carter’s intentions were good-hearted and forward-thinking, he broke morality, which broke Ridge’s heart.

These two tough guys have soft hearts underneath. They don’t make friends easily but bonded the first time they met and appeared to be brothers forever until the Hope-driven hostile takeover happened.

Is It Fair To Blame Hope Logan?

Ridge has to be careful. He persists in telling Carter that his girlfriend, a term used with derision in this instance, is responsible for his wayward turn.

However, that implies Ridge believes Hope inherited her demeanor and mode of operation from her mother, Brooke Logan (Katherine Kelly Lang). That connection has deeply hurt Brooke but hasn’t stopped her from trying to turn Carter’s mind around.

Brooke agrees with Ridge that Hope’s influence on Carter’s successful takeover isn’t good. But Brooke feels differently about Steffy Forrester Finnegan (Jacqueline MacInnes Wood), who is applying the same tag to Hope but in a harsher manner.

Carter Walton’s Conscience Can Lead Him Back

Carter can turn the company back to the Forresters at any time. He’s the manager of the LLC that Ridge and Steffy asked him to create before realizing that he’d made himself their boss.

These past months, since the power shift, have been extremely taxing. Carter told Ridge that he missed their friendship, and that’s the unvarnished truth.

Ridge feels similarly but needs to see action. He wants control of the company back. But if Carter doesn’t give it to him and Steffy, then Ridge will use any means necessary to make that happen.

Ridge Forrester Values Family Over Friendship

Ridge’s reveal to Carter about not getting along with people was a rare glimpse inside the mind of Kaye’s character. He’s hard on himself and isn’t a bad guy. Neither is Carter.

To call Carter his brother is a term of endearment. These friends have been there for each other when their romantic entanglements with everyone from Brooke through to Hope haven’t damaged their brotherly connection.

But Carter’s business betrayal put him out of the tight Forrester family circle. In order for him and Ridge to restore their friendship, one central plot point needs to happen.

Hope needs to prove Ridge right. If Carter sees evidence that Hope is using him, he’ll likely be inclined to restore the Forrester’s power. However, this struggle will continue until that specific scenario or Steffy’s plan is achieved.
