Avery Mills and Omar Albakour won’t return to 90 Day Fiance, and this week, when they celebrated their sixth anniversary, she elaborated on social media why TLC holds no appeal for her.

The TV Stars Were Popular

Mills and Albakour debuted on 90 Day Fiance: Before the 90 Days in season 3 back in 2019. Initially, TLC fans thought she’d lost her mind because she became a Muslim, and wanted to live with her boyfriend in Syria, a war zone. Despite misgivings, Albakour seemed sweet and their love seemed genuine. Soon, they became fan favorites.

Married, the sweethearts spent time in Dubai and in the USA as Omar completed his dentistry studies. So far, there hasn’t been any sign that they plan for a family, and briefly, Mills had a terrifying health scare. Fortunately, her lupus can be treated, so they enjoyed their anniversary this year. But, fans won’t see it on TV.

No Return To Television

When Omar Albakour and Avery shared about their wedding anniversary on Instagram this week, she said in her caption:

Celebrating our 6th year anniversary 🌹💘 We did it honey, we achieved our goals by each others side and I wouldn’t want it any other way 🥰 can’t wait to see what the future holds for us my love ❤️

In the comments section, one follower asked Mills about returning to television. After all, plenty of other people do. In fact, some of them like Jasmine Pineda return too often, folks think. It turns out that Mills doesn’t think very highly of the TV show. Describing the network as “fabricated drama,” they prefer sharing their lives on social media.

Avery ended by saying, “I will be posting on YouTube more… and I have a TikTok we post a lot on.”

Viewers Think They Made The Right Decision

In the discussion that followed, some fans believed that not being on a TV show probably made their marriage work. As for fabrication, Mills once told her followers that her contract expired, and they had no interest in living out the drama in front of cameras.

In the comments section, a few fans liked the idea of staying away from public scrutiny. Here are a few of their thoughts:

  • I so love this response! THIS is why you both are thriving!!!
  • great decision! That show…is a trainwreck!!
  • good call. You have both achieved so much by being genuine people.
  • I think staying off tv has definitely helped your success. I’m proud of yall.
  • Awww the respect y’all have for one another is beautiful…
