Amanda Halterman Gets Some Health Crisis Answers

Amanda Halterman hasn’t been well, but she has been giving her 1000-Lb Sisters fans some feedback. This week on social media, she shouted out a medical facility and said that she finally got some answers. 

Getting Answers To Health Issues

On Monday, Amanda took to her Instagram profile page and shared about finally getting some sort of diagnosis. In her post, she lay in a hospital bed and had some medical equipment showing under her top. She looked thin, as she has lost a lot of weight.

In her caption, the TLC star said in part:

Y’all… I finally got some dang answers. All these crazy symptoms I been goin’ through? Turns out I ain’t just bein’ dramatic. I had to dig into my own medical mess like a dang detective, ’cause five years ago—yeah, five, the number of grace—I was goin’ through somethin’ real similar. And you know what they told me back then? ‘You’re just fat. Lose some weight and it’ll all go away.’ Mmmhmm. Well guess what? It didn’t.

The reality TV star added, “My body don’t work like everybody else’s.” It’s “stubborn,” “complicated—it’s ME.” But “UNION COUNTY HOSPITAL saved me.” Then she shouted out to the medical workers, saying, “The staff working April 6th and 7th, 2025, ‘y’all are angels.” Thank you for “hearin’ me, seein’ me, and helpin’ me.”  The moral of the story was, “Don’t give up on yourself.” Don’t let anyone dismiss your symptoms due to your size or because they’re “normal for other people.”

What Was Wrong With Her?

Unfortunately, the TV star who blacked out and suffered Covid-like symptoms didn’t say what the diagnosis was. One TLC fan asked, “Are you going to tell us what’s wrong though? Or will it be disclosed on the show? However, Amanda Halterman replied to neither of the questions. 

Several others also thought that Amanda’s health scare might form part of another season of the show. That might be the reason why she never replied: because an NDA might apply. Additionally, she’s been ill since the new year, so filming might have easily started.

Most fans in the comments section didn’t pry into Amanda’s privacy and simply talked about the misdiagnosis and how they hope she mends soon. Here are a few of those caring reactions:
