90 Day Fiance Hoaxes: Karine Martins, Paul Staehle, Josh Seiter

90 Day Fiance blogger John Yates grows suspicious about Karine Martins who hinted that Paul Staehe might be dead.

He was the blogger who followed up on the story of the TLC star allegedly going missing in the Brazillian forest.

That happened in 2023. Meanwhile, Josh Seiter faked his death more than once. Is Karine the common denominator? Read on to find out the possibilities.

Karine Linked To Paul & Josh

Paul, of course, as every 90 Day Fiance fan knows, married Karine and then they became estranged. After their kids were taken away and custody awarded to his cousin, he went to Brazil and hasn’t returned. In the meantime, his wife stayed in the USA to fight for her kids. 

Some people might be unaware that Josh Seiter was also linked to Karine Martins. The former Bachelorette contestant hooked up with her in 2022. Later, they split, and he told his fans on social media, “[Karine’s] a good mother who deserves to be happy.” 

Their dating predated Josh’s August 2023 death by suicide hoax. It also predated his lie about being trans to annoy liberal voters. 

The Common Denominator

Once again, it was John Yates who raised the connection between the two reality TV stars with fake deaths and Karine. It came on Instagram on March 19, 2025. The 90 Day Fiance blogger felt that something was off. So, he floated his ideas about the trio.

“Now this might seem like a lot but it’s really not if you think about it a little bit and I’m also not saying any of the following is factual but again just think about it,” he said to his fans. 

In summary, John felt that the dates of the disappearances seemed odd. Noting that he personally saw texts between Paul and Josh, he pointed out, “Josh Seiter, who was Karine’s ex-partner, first death hoax was around 8/29/23.” He then added, “4 days later Paul goes missing in the Amazon,” 

Recent Incidents 

Talking about the recent death hoax by Seiter, the blogger wrote, “Josh Seiter pulls his second death hoax – for which he is now sorry again.” Next, he noted something TLC fans might not have yet heard about. Monsters And Critics reported on March 19, 2025, that a friend of his, who claims to be “a medical professional,” found Paul “unresponsive in bed at his home in Brazil.”

Growing suspicious, the reality TV blogger wrote, “Paul is found unresponsive in his bed by some medical professional in Brazil just like Josh was found unresponsive in his hotel room in Mexico weeks back.”

So, he asked, “is this the greatest coincidence of all time or do these two men just have the worlds worst luck with getting caught?”

• A death hoax is not a trivial mistake that can simply be erased with a “sorry.”
