3 Unexpected Y&R Hook-Ups Fans Never Saw Coming!

The Young and the Restless (Y&R) spoilers suggest that fans are in the middle of February sweeps, the very month when everyone should expect the unexpected.

After all, sweeps months are about explosions, catastrophes, drama, and unexpected hook-ups, right?

As such, below are three Genoa City couples who weren’t on anyone’s 2025 bingo card to hit the sheets together!

Unexpected Hook-Up #1 – Holden & Audra

Holden (Nathan Owens) has an unknown connection to a leading lady in Genoa City, and despite meeting Audra Charles (Zuleyka Silver) twice already, this doesn’t mean that these two don’t have a past.

Audra is a master manipulator who can finagle a poker face under the most extreme pressure and fans don’t know that much about Holden. What if they are past lovers? How shocking would it be to see them unexpectedly hook-up?

Audra has developed a much softer side since her time with Nate Hastings (Sean Dominic) and since forging a bond with Amy Lewis (Valarie Pettiford).

However, this doesn’t mean that she may not let emotion get the better of her if she’s alone with Holden at some point. Things could get mighty steamy between these two!

Unexpected Hook-Up #2 – Phyllis & Nate

Can’t get anymore “unexpected” than Phyllis Summers (Michelle Stafford) and Nate hooking up, right?

As of this writing, they are nowhere near each other’s orbits, so how cool would it be if Audra betrayed Nate, and the doctor-turned-executive headed to the GCAC bar to drown his sorrows, only to find Red there? Could sparks fly between the two?

Unexpected Hook-Up #3 – Devon & Sally

As the old adage goes, once a cheater, always a cheater, right? Sure, Sally Spectra (Courtney Hope) is with Billy Abbott (Jason Thompson) right now, and Devon Hamilton-Winters (Bryton James) is married to Abby Abbott-Newman-Winters (Melissa Ordway), but Devon is known for cheating, and this article is all in good fun (not at all to be taken overly seriously).

Both Devon and Sally haven’t had much of a storyline lately, other than their respective relationships, so why not spice things up with a good old-fashioned, unexpected, affair!?
