Y&R Spoilers: Was Sharon’s “Dream” Foreshadowing A Romance With Billy?

Young and the Restless (Y&R) spoilers suggest that Sharon Rosales’s (Sharon Case) recent “dream” episode was an interesting watch.

Some fans loved it, others were indifferent, but one thing that it did accomplish (storyline-wise) was the demise of the Shance romance.

Still, while many viewers also saw it as a Shick reunion tease, could the writers be hinting at another possible romance?

The Young And The Restless Spoilers – Billy Abbott’s Presence During The Dream Was Odd

Y&R spoilers hint that the only person out of sorts in Sharon’s dream was Billy Abbott (Jason Thompson).

Sure, they had a one-night stand together years ago when Sharon was dealing with mental health issues, and Billy was dealing with mixed emotions around marrying Chloe Fisher (Elizabeth Hendrickson). But the show has never quite explored the idea of Sharon and Billy getting together.

With that being said, Billy’s role in Sharon’s dream was a unique one. They do have history, but not a long dragged-out kind.

They’ve never engaged in a real relationship, and while they are friends, no one would consider Billy a major part of Sharon’s life. Why would he be in the dream if there wasn’t a hidden meaning behind it all?

Y&R Spoilers – Was A Shick Reunion Hinted?

The major theme within the dream was Sharon’s romance with Chance and her on-again/off-again relationship with Nick Newman (Joshua Morrow).

Still, most of the blame for the failed Shick romance was placed on Nick’s shoulders, even though fans do know both Sharon and Mr. Newman had their own respective roles as to why things didn’t work out.

While there were hints that Nick is the love of Sharon’s life, there were also statements made about why it didn’t work out, and why it may never work out. In some ways, it looked like the dream was suggesting a reunion.

However, in other ways, it seemed as if the dream was telling Sharon it would never work. Especially that scene where she was reminded of Nick’s numerous affairs with Phyllis Summers (Michelle Stafford), at the worst possible times.

Billy played the role of “guide” in Sharon’s dream. He understood her hurt and pain, was a dapper gentleman, and in some moments, simply listened to her, whether she was crying out in confusion or therapeutically sharing her feelings. Could the show be teasing a possible romance between these two?
