The Young and The Restless (Y&R) spoilers and updates tease it’s been a few years since Victor Newman (Eric Braeden) and Jack Abbott (Peter Bergman) acted like sworn enemies.

However, that could change, thanks to the drunken night Nikki Newman (Melody Thomas Scott) and Jack spent at the GCAC-will Victor be out for revenge and try to ruin Jack’s life?

The Newman matriarch was jolted awake by the night, prompting Jack to break his sobriety in order to push her towards rehab. Jack overdosed on pills and liquor together in order to make a point, and Nikki had to call 911.

Nikki’s renewed commitment to sobriety may be credited to that night, and Jack seems to have no desire to return to a pill addiction.

Nevertheless, their spouses are furious with their actions, with The Mustache still seething over Nikki’s bender, partly blaming it on Jack being a poor sponsor.

Diane has been scolding her husband for neglecting their family in favor of Nikki, but as things calmed down, Nikki made a return to town in the week of May 27.

Y & R Spoilers – Nikki Newman Again Turned To Jack Abbott To Be Her Sobriety Sponsor

Having spent time in a treatment facility, Nikki brazenly approached Jack and asked him to once again serve as her sober sponsor, leaving Diane Jenkins Abbott (Susan Walters) furious discovering this.

She told her husband that if he resumed sponsoring his best friend and ex-wife, she would proceed with divorce; this ultimatum was powerful enough to convince Jack to reject Nikki’s request.

Meanwhile, the Victor didn’t direct his anger towards Nikki, but instead unleashed his wrath on Jack, and since that well-known night, Victor has repeatedly threatened Jack to stay away from Nikki.

Victor even expressed his lack of sadness if an unfortunate outcome had befallen Jack in the hotel room, where he had mixed pills with alcohol.

Given his level of anger we suspected Victor would eventually seek revenge; he seemingly began laying the groundwork for a grand scheme in the episode airing on May 31st.

Initially, Victor engaged in a conversation with Diane, attempting to gauge her perspective on the situation involving Jack and Nikki-however, she skillfully maintained her composure, concealing her true feelings.

Nevertheless, Victor saw right through her facade then redirected the discussion to offer her a backhanded compliment.

Victor acknowledged when Diane first arrived in Genoa City, he admired her for being astute and resilient, but he disapproves of her choice to marry Jack, whom he perceives as “weak.”

Furthermore, Victor describes Diane as a cunning individual, but claims that she has allowed Jack to strip her of her power and is now permitting her son to do the same.

Victor concluded his conversation with Diane by stating, “I once held you in high regard, respected you-now, I feel sorry for you.” This remark unsettled Diane, as she is aware deep down that Victor’s observation holds some truth.

Victor’s next move involved provoking Kyle Abbott (Michael Mealor) during a one-on-one discussion at the Abbott mansion, suggesting that he should be in a different position at Jabot.

Then he began flattering him by drawing parallels between him and John Abbott (Jerry Douglas), his grandfather and original Abbott patriarch.

After everything that has been mentioned, it is evident that Victor has ulterior motives, and we suspect it is to create turmoil in the life of his enemy.

He understands that by provoking Diane and making her believe that Jack is hindering her from being authentic, issues could arise in their marriage. Jack and Diane are already experiencing difficulties, so Victor’s interference could exacerbate the situation.

The possibility exists that Victor is using Kyle to provoke a showdown at Jabot, but Kyle was already working against Diane independently. Victor seems to be aiming to create difficulties for Jack and tempt him with pills, possibly even arranging encounters with his former drug dealers.
