Y&R Spoilers: Victor Vows To Protect Nikki At All Costs, Even If It’s From Herself?

The Young and The Restless spoilers and updates tease Victor Newman (Eric Braeden) will vow to protect Nikki Newman (Melody Thomas Scott) at all costs. He’ll do whatever it takes, even if it’s protecting her from herself.

The Young And The Restless Spoilers: Nikki Newman’s Not Fooling Victor Newman

Victor realized how seriously Nikki had been forced off the wagon by being fed vodka through an IV, when he realized she’d been getting into the household liquor.

He removed it and locked it up, but now he sees that she’s avoiding calling her Alcoholics Anonymous sponsor Seth (Brian Gaskill) who he recently met.

What’s more, he realizes that he has to check on her like a teenage addict-checking her desk drawers and her purse for flasks and other evidence.

Victor hates to have to treat his wife like a child or a teenager with a drug habit but it’s for her own good. They both remember when she fell off the wagon previous times and when her alcoholism was brought to the forefront.

Victor hopes it doesn’t have to come to putting Nikki in a rehab to dry out, but if it did he loves her enough to do so-there’s nothing he wouldn’t do. If he has to protect her from herself to protect her, then that’s what it has to be.

He’s not letting his baby continue to spiral and he knows it’s not just the effects of the alcohol itself that’s causing her problems, it’s what happened in Oregon.

She’s acting like she’s okay and she has her act together, but it’s obvious to Victor that she’s not-and he calls her on it, and lets her know he can tell.

The Young And The Restless Spoilers: Keeping It Discreet

Nikki recently put their friend Lauren Baldwin (Tracey E. Bregman) in a bind, demanding she not tell Victor that she was drunk at the Genoa City Athletic Club.

Lauren’s loyalty was tested, as Nikki was in a very bad way and she wanted to keep her secret, but it wasn’t necessarily in Nikki’s best interests. Nikki was so drunk she nearly fell down the staircase and may have done so, had Lauren not been there.

She put Nikki up in suite there and stayed with her, but she did call Victor and her husband Michael Baldwin (Christian LeBlanc) saying it was a “girls night out”. Michael was never told the truth but Victor was, and he won’t let on that he knows, keeping it discreet.
