Young and the Restless (Y&R) spoilers indicate that Summer Newman (Allison Lanier) is dead set on launching a custody battle for Harrison Abbott (Redding Munsell), and in general, mothers are usually awarded sole custody in these types of cases; however, as Kyle Abbott (Michael Mealor) and Nick Newman (Joshua Morrow) recently pointed out,

The Young And The Restless Spoilers – Phyllis Summers Has Been Pondering This Situation

Y&R spoilers indicate that Phyllis Summers (Michelle Stafford) has been sitting in thought about this situation all week, trying to figure out a way to help her daughter.

Fans know Red can be crafty when she wants to be, and has always been able to get out of any sticky situation she’s been placed in.

Right now, Summer’s biggest obstacle is the fact that she has no blood connection to Harrison, and Kyle is his father.

With Harrison’s mom in jail, and no real indication of when she’ll be released, could Phyllis come up with a plan where Tara Locke (Elizabeth Leiner) signs over her motherly rights to Summer?

Y&R Spoilers – What Would Be In It For Tara Locke?

Tara loved Harrison and while she wasn’t the best person, she was a good mother. She’s likely counting down the days until she can break free from jail to see her son, so why would she sign over her parental rights to Summer, of all people?

In addition, it was Phyllis who essentially gathered the intel to expose Tara and send her to prison, too.

Still, people change in prison; people can change at the drop of a hat in the land of soaps, so there’s a possibility that Summer and Phyllis dangle money or her freedom in front of Tara to entice her to give up her parental rights to Kyle’s ex.

Phyllis isn’t exactly rich, but Summer does have Victor Newman (Eric Braeden) as a grandfather, so one visit to him, asking for money (or to pull some strings) and he could make her dreams come true.

In fact, snatching Harrison from under Kyle and Jack Abbott (Peter Bergman) would be icing on the cake of his revenge plan, right?
