Young and the Restless (Y&R) spoilers note that Nick Newman and actor Joshua Morrow are on the cusp of celebrating a special anniversary 30 years in Genoa City.

On Friday, June 21, the show will honor the legendary character with a special Nick-centric episode, and it’s something fans won’t want to miss.

Y&R spoilers hint that the special Nick Newman episode will be jam-packed with past clips, highlighting Nick’s history, family, and 30 years in GC.

Morrow recently expressed to TV Guide Magazine that he feels as if he just had his 20th anniversary.

He goes on to say, “I just blinked, and a decade went by. I remember my dad saying to me, maybe five years into my career, ‘If you can wake up every day and love going to work, you got life licked.’ I feel like that right now.”

He goes on to say, “If you would have told me when I was a sophomore in high school in Oklahoma just playing football, ‘You will have had a 30-year career on a television show’, I would have thought you were joking.

It’s an incredible accomplishment and one I never take for granted. Beyond blessed doesn’t even cover it. I owe my life to this show. I really do feel like I was made to play Nick Newman. It’s been the role of a lifetime.”

Nick debuted in 1988, and was child #2 for legendary GC super couple, Nikki Newman (Melody Thomas Scott) and Victor Newman (Eric Braeden).

For the first six years, Nick was portrayed by child actors, and SORASed in 1994 into a teen when Joshua stepped into the part.

Nick has had his ups and downs over the years and has been in some pretty interesting romances; however, the one that most fans have connected with is his on-again/off-again relationship with high school sweetheart, Sharon Newman (Sharon Case).
