The Young and the Restless (Y&R) spoilers document that Sharon Newman’s (Sharon Case) intention of following through on a revenge fantasy is not going as planned.

The projection of Cameron Kirsten (Linden Ashby) is that she is willing to poison Daniel Romalotti (Michael Graziadei), but Sharon’s better instincts win out.

Before Heather Stevens (Vail Bloom) catches Sharon in the apartment, Case’s character dumps the poisoned whiskey. So, Daniel will not become the victim that the darker part of Sharon’s mind desires.

However, this storyline has only reached a flashpoint. Plenty of engaging drama is yet to unfold. It can play out in multiple variations, which reinforces it as a good soap.

Ashby returned to the cast to record scenes that began airing months before Halloween. But Cameron has clearly been the horror show to watch.

Mixes of macabre humor and more serious insight into Sharon’s history make this serious tale compelling. Kudos to Ashby as a great scene partner for Case.

Working with one of this soap opera’s all-time best actors (Case) has surely been delightful for Ashby. A credit to the writing staff for creating a fresh storyline with a dead character that has life.

Y&R Spoilers – Lucy Romalotti Is Also Protected?

It felt like Lucy Romalotti’s (Lily Brooks O’Briant) reckless behavior was on a collision course with Sharon’s pent-up rage. Add in the recent car accident that impacted Faith Newman (Reylynn Caster), and an intended or unintended outcome seemed plausible.

It could be that Sharon’s choosing not to poison Daniel still leads to something happening to Lucy. That would complete a revenge justice scenario where Daniel’s daughter receives a punishment in response to Cassie Newman (Camryn Grimes) having lost her life.

So, if this story has more run, Lucy remains a target. While Sharon restrained herself in the apartment, continuing to do so may not be possible.

Heather catching Sharon in the apartment means something happens. Bloom’s character isn’t going to let that go, even if Sharon eludes her.

Nick Newman (Joshua Morrow) is calling everyone together. He, Mariah Copeland (Camryn Grimes), and Tessa Porter (Cait Fairbanks) even spoke directly with Daniel.

Morrow’s character also told his parents about Sharon’s recently returned mental health issues. So, he’s taking this matter very seriously.

Nick seems highly likely to be directly involved in the accelerating plot’s climax. If she becomes or feels trapped, Nick can be there for her.

Whether that means those original true loves rediscover their bond after that is part of the reason fans will keep watching. It is Case and Morrow’s thirtieth anniversary season with the cast. So, the odds would favor a memorable conclusion.
