Lucy Romalotti (Lily Brooks O’Briant) is a proxy for her father in Sharon’s mind. In turn, he represents Phyllis Summers (Michelle Stafford). She is the woman that is being held accountable for the day Sharon’s life was wrecked.

Projections of Cameron Kirsten (Linden Ashby) represent the dark thoughts Sharon repressed through the years.

Ashby’s dead character partially reflects the dead zone in her heart due to the loss of Cassie Newman (Camryn Grimes). The building drama involves how Sharon plans to respond to the unbearable pain.

Sharon’s daughters and Nick Newman (Joshua Morrow) know she is not herself. Case’s character explained her more recent behavior away by admitting that she voluntarily went off her medication.

However, Faith Newman (Reylynn Caster), Mariah Copeland (Grimes), and Nick remain concerned. Each recognized the hopeless look in Sharon’s eyes following Faith’s car accident.

This creates an opportunity for one or more of the referenced loved ones to prevent negative momentum. Sharon is on pace to retaliate against Lucy, Daniel, or Phyllis.

Y&R Spoilers – Nick Newman Back In Focus

Among devoted fans, a Shick reunion is desired. Sharon recently referenced their attempts to get back together, and as the audience recalls, two fateful trips to the altar did not result in a re-tied knot.

One would think something will happen during Case and Morrow’s milestone twenty-fifth anniversaries on the show. This retro storyline is possibly part of the effort or its entirety.

Sharon and Nick have retained love for each other but are not in love. A reunion is plausible if Nick becomes the specific character to prevent Sharon from attacking Phyllis or one of her family members.

A twist on the above could have Nick become the unintended victim of Sharon’s goal. Because this is soap, that could also prove to be a pathway to reconciliation.

Phyllis feels that her affair with Nick is ancient history. She also knows that Lucy is responsible for Faith’s injuries and tries to lessen tensions by discussing the issue.

In Phyllis’s mind, Lucy is not an adult and has made an unwanted mistake. The same mindset existed when Cassie died because of Daniel Romalotti’s (Michael Graziadei) careless behavior, which created her tragic attempt to drive him home.

Sharon is already plotting with the imagined Cameron to retaliate. A verbal confrontation with Phyllis is all she needs to believe justification exists.
