Luckily, there are a few simple tactics Y&R can implement to guide Claire towards a better path.
Victoria Newman’s (Amelia Heinle) daughter is in need of a transformation, but there’s still time to turn things around. So, let’s delve into Claire’s character and explore potential enhancements.
Here are three solutions to revamp Claire, if the show is open to suggestions and willing to make adjustments. Every lady can benefit from a makeover, but let’s be honest, Claire requires a significant amount of effort!
To begin with, it’s time to rethink Claire’s wardrobe choices; she shouldn’t be dressed like she’s borrowing clothes from a middle schooler’s closet or snatching her younger sister’s garb.
Claire’s style is often too juvenile for her age, and it’s about time the show gives her a more mature look-although she doesn’t have to emulate Phyllis Summers (Michelle Stafford).
We understand that Claire is Harrison Abbott’s (Redding Munsell) nanny, so we’re not suggesting she needs to dress formally for work or events.
However, there’s a fine line between looking after a child and looking like one, and while modesty is a virtue, it won’t trip most Genoa City men’s’ triggers!
Claire had a tough upbringing with the mean old Jordan, (Colleen Zenk). It’s no secret, as the show has been hammering in the sob stories about Claire’s past with Jordan.
At this point, it’s starting to feel like Y&R is doing more harm than good by constantly dwelling on this angle.
While we sympathize with Claire, it’s time to shift the focus away from Jordan’s reign of terror and explore different aspects of her character.
Claire needs to move forward in her life and she can’t do it as long as she’s bogged down by her past.
One issue that stands out is how the show is emphasizing Claire’s lack of life experiences-she’s never really indulged in alcohol, never formed genuine friendships, never experienced romance, and so on.
They are really highlighting Claire’s innocence to the extent that she seems fascinated by simple things like baked goods and worms in the garden.
If they intend for us to view Claire as a potential serious love interest for Kyle Abbott (Michael Mealor) some adjustments are necessary.
Given that Harrison is essentially Claire’s closest friend, it would be beneficial to develop Claire’s relationships with characters such as Mariah Copeland (Camryn Grimes) and Tessa Porter (Cait Fairbanks).
Claire should expand her social circle and seek out new experiences to enrich her life; ultimately, she could benefit from a transformation that helps her grow and mature.
