Y&R spoilers for the week of October 7 reveal that Chance Chancellor (Conner Floyd) is back at the Genoa City Police Department. Chance specifically asks to be assigned to Heather’s murder investigation.

Meanwhile, Sharon will cover her tracks by getting rid of Heather’s phone and planting the bloody towels in Daniel Romalotti, Jr.’s (Michael Grazaidei) penthouse.

However, Chance tells Daniel and Lucy Romalotti (Lily Brooks O’Briant) that he has a lead after tracking Heather’s phone.

Then, Chance goes to interrogate a suspect, who turns out to be Sharon. Even if Sharon doesn’t slip up when talking to Chance, she didn’t wear gloves when touching Daniel’s cabinet.

Kyle explains his complicated history with Audra Charles (Zuleyka Silver). Later, Jack Abbott (Peter Bergman) gives Claire a bit of a history lesson.

Meanwhile, Diane Jenkins-Abbott (Susan Walters) blows up at Jack. Cole Howard (J. Eddie Peck) quizzes Victoria Newman (Amelia Heinle) about their future.

Victor gets to play hero for Abby during some kind of crisis. This might have something to do with Abby’s upcoming wedding to Devon Hamilton-Winters (Bryton James). 

Nikki Newman (Melody Thomas Scott) negotiates. This might be with Victor because later, the patriarch changes the rules with Lily Winters (Christel Khalil). Nate returns with some surprising information from Amy Lewis (Valarie Pettiford).
