Y&R Spoilers: Michael Damian & Lauralee Bell Celebrate 40 Years Of “Cricket & Danny”

Young and the Restless (Y&R) spoilers suggest that while Christine Blair and Danny Romalotti are off living their best lives on his tour, actress Lauralee Bell and actor Michael Damian are being rather reflective (in a good way).

That’s because the two are celebrating a milestone of sorts, with June 25 marking forty years since the then-model/now-lawyer and rockstar met.

The two were formally introduced on June 25, 1984, and have enjoyed quite the roller coaster romance! The duo recently chatted with TV Insider about this legendary anniversary.

Bell relays with a laugh that when she first began working with Damian, “I spoke with a very high-pitched, kind of like ‘helium voice’.”

Meanwhile, Damian recalled that Bell commented on his locks, stating, “You have big hair!” The two clicked instantly, as Lauralee notes in the interview that they both “clearly” have the “same stupid sense of humor.”

As the twosome continued to reminisce about the early years of working together, Damian also stated that he had an earring, which Lauralee’s dad (Y&R Creator William J. Bell) wasn’t fond of.

In fact, Bell asked him to get rid of it; however, Lauralee noted she just got more “holes” put in her ears, recently, which he likely wouldn’t like, either.

When it comes to their recent reunion, which was serendipitous, as Danny decided to return to GC for an extended visit, ironically off the cusp of Christine’s divorce to another long-time love, Paul Williams (Doug Davidson), Damian states that working together felt “organic” and as if “time stood still”.

In addition, Bell shared feedback from fans about the reunion, stating that some said it “reminded them” of their childhood” and how they used to watch the show with their mom or grandma, noting that their grandmother would be happy to know that Cricket and Danny were back together!

Genoa City’s favorite super couple is set to return to the canvas in July, as they dive into an interesting storyline! Will it involve their nemesis, Phyllis Summers (Michelle Stafford)? Could the two get engaged? Fans will have to tune in to find out!
