Y&R Spoilers: Mark Grossman On Adam’s Cheating, True Feelings On Chelsea/Sally Twist

The Young and the Restless (Y&R) spoilers reveal that fans have mixed emotions about Adam Newman (Mark Grossman) betraying Sally Spectra (Courtney Hope) with Chelsea Lawson (Melissa Claire Egan).

The actor has spoken out in an interview with Soap Opera Digest regarding the unexpected twist. Find out what Mark had to say about Adam cheating on Sally with Chelsea.

Adam Newman’s Betrayal

Y&R spoilers reveal that Adam and Chelsea went to Baltimore, Maryland together. The purpose of the trip was to visit with Connor Newman (Judah Mackey).

While the visit went very well, Chelsea and Adam were delivered a bombshell afterward. The doctor told Chelsea and Adam that once Connor returned to the center, he started hurting himself.

Chelsea and Adam were devastated. The former flames started drinking bourbon, then next thing you know, they are in bed together.

Y&R Spoilers: Chelsea Lawson’s Guilt

After the intimate encounter, Chelsea was consumed with guilt. Chelsea made it clear to Adam that she is committed to Billy Abbott (Jason Thompson).

Adam acknowledged this and mentioned his love for Sally. The two agreed not to expose their betrayal. However, that is easier said than done!

Sally Spectra’s Instincts

The Young and the Restless spoilers reveal that when Adam and Chelsea returned to Genoa City, they had an awkward sit-down with Billy and Sally. Then later, Chelsea and Sally met to talk about work with Summer Newman (Allison Lanier).

Once Summer left, Chelsea and Sally had an awkward conversion. At that time, Sally mentioned that Chelsea seemed guilty about something. The last thing Sally is probably thinking is cheating, though!

Mark said in his interview with the magazine that at first, he was not thrilled about CHADAM cheating. In addition to that, Grossman explained he read up on Adam’s past before taking over the role. The actor explains that historically, Adam isn’t a cheater. 

There is a light at the end of the tunnel, though. While Grossman wasn’t thrilled with the storyline at first, it seemed logical as he got more updates. Once Grossman figured out what was pulling Adam toward Chelsea, the betrayal made sense.

That pull is driven by Adam and Chelsea’s love for their son, Connor. There is also a lot of history there. 

With that being said, Mark admitted that if Sally found out about Adam cheating, she would probably dump him on the spot! So, how long will Sally and Billy be in the dark about CHADAM?
