Young And The Restless Spoilers: Linden Ashby Talks Return - Current Run Might Be Longer Than Fans Realize

Young and the Restless (Y&R) spoilers suggest that fans got a bit of a pleasant surprise during the Thursday, August 1 episode when Linden Ashby returned at the close of the show, reprising his villainous Cameron Kirsten role.

The bad news is the hallucination is taunting poor Sharon Newman (Sharon Case) as she continues to spiral with her mental health; however, the good news is that Cameron’s return as a hallucination means that he is still very much dead. The even better news? He’ll be around for fans to marvel at a lot longer than expected.

The And The Restless Spoilers – Linden Ashby Is Happy To Be Back

Y&R spoilers note that Sharon admitted to Nick Newman (Joshua Morrow), Faith Newman (Reylynn Caster), and Mariah Copeland (Camryn Grimes) this week that she’s no longer taking her bipolar medication, which is causing this (as well as other) hallucinations.

Linden recently told TV Insider that it’s great to be back, especially since Cameron is not back from the dead or a ghost. Rather he’s a “person who is living in Sharon’s head”.

This means Y&R fans will get to see a different dynamic between Sharon and Cameron, and Ashby states in his TV Insider interview that Cameron is a manifestation in Sharon’s internal world, helping to give her a voice to things she’s afraid to say out loud or do. He adds, “He’s that person who’s encouraging her to do things that maybe she shouldn’t be doing.”

The actor also told TV Insider how great it was to reunite with Sharon Case, stating that, “She’s a friend, she welcomes me back with open arms, and I welcome her with an open heart.”

Y&R Spoilers – How Long Is Linden Ashby’s Current Run?

According to Soap Opera Digest (SOD), Ashby returned to the Y&R studio in June and is currently still filming with the daytime drama. This places Cameron Kirsten’s run well into September, or early October (at the very least, if not longer).

This is great news for Y&R viewers, as well as Ashby’s wife, Susan Walters (who plays Diane Jenkins-Abbott on the soap), who now gets to spend a little more time with her hubby as they work on the same show!
