Y&R spoilers indicate that Lily isn’t the vengeful type. She could try and fire both Heather and Daniel from Chancellor-Winters and would likely have everyone’s backing on this, but she wouldn’t.

Instead, she may decide to leave the company herself and pursue other career options. This would leave the top spot at CW open for the taking.

Right now, Billy Abbott (Jason Thompson) has been taking over Lily’s duties at CW. While he’s doing a good job, he and Devon Hamilton-Winters (Bryton James) have been clashing.

Meanwhile, Devon has been getting closer to his cousin, Nate Hastings (Sean Dominic).

They’ve made a ton of progress, strengthening their bond both on a personal and business level.

Y&R Spoilers: The Aftermath Of Lily’s Resignation

Billy may naturally assume he’d be promoted into Lily’s role if she left the company; however, Devon may decide to suggest Nate for the job.

This would have Billy beside himself and might ignite a family feud: the Abbotts/Chancellors versus the Winters.

After all, the show has been hinting at this for a while. Jill Abbott (Jess Walton) will back Billy up, this is the very reason she brought her son on board to the company.

Chance Chancellor (Conner Floyd) would definitely be on Billyu’s side, as he’s come to respect him as a mentor and a friend.

Meanwhile, Devon would back Nate up, and Aunt Mamie Johnson (Veronica Reed) would pull for Hastings, too.

She’s the reason Nate was allowed to come back to CW after throwing his family and the business under the bus!
