Y&R Spoilers: Lily Is Being Deceived – Nikki Set To Head Chancellor

The Young and the Restless (Y&R) spoilers document that Lily Winters (Christel Khalil) believes she’s in line to head Chancellor after Victor Newman (Eric Braeden) obtains it.

However, that eventuality is being slow walked by the Moustache, who is using Lily as a means to an end.

Nikki Newman (Melody Thomas Scott) was the head of Newman Media. Then, she was forced to break sobriety by Jordan Howard (Colleen Zenk).

Part of Victor’s recovery plan for his wife was preventing her from returning to that position, installing Adam Newman (Mark Grossman), and promising Nikki a far better spot.

Thomas Scott’s character was stunned when Victor told her what he intended. His plan to have her restore the late Katherine Chancellor’s (Jeanne Cooper) legacy was music to her ears, with a knowing wink to Nikki’s love of playing the piano intended.

There is zero chance that Victor would enrage with wife or threaten the stability she’s achieved in overcoming that forced battle with alcohol. So, she is destined to head Chancellor once Billy Abbott (Jason Thompson) is out of the picture.

Nikki performed well as the head of Newman Media. But Victor wants Adam in that slot now.

Viewers recall that Victor created what was a standalone company as a proving ground for his youngest son. That effort was short-lived as the collapse of Adam’s first relationship with Sally Spectra (Courtney Hope) came into play.

Victor wants Adam to do what is needed in the months to come and believes that Nikki would resist the type of amoral efforts that he feels must be made. So, the Chancellor opportunity is a preferred carrot Victor created for the love of his life, and it clearly is one she wants.

Y&R Spoilers – Billy Abbott Is Tough To Crack?

Victor projected certainty about Billy’s inability to hold the reigns at what he rebranded Abbott Chancellor. But Victor now claims that Billy could be hard to oust now that Lily feels the time is right to strike.

Current thinking is not a game because Billy is working on a deal with cutting-edge technology that could be a game-changer for Abbott Chancellor. Victor took insider knowledge Lily provided about the company Billy wanted to acquire and contacted the owner.

Some of the delays Victor is calling for are linked to timing. He also wants Billy to take the hardest possible fall and time to impact Jabot.

So, Billy has not become a tough adversary. Victor can crack him. He wants to do so on an exact timetable and use Lily for as long as possible.

The Young And The Restless Spoilers – Lily Winters Can Turn Hard

Lily is expecting a quid pro quo. She delivered information that put Victor in a far better position.

While Lily didn’t deliver a death blow to Billy, she seriously helped Victor delay, if not prevent, his business expansion plans. If all goes as Victor wants, Billy will not acquire the company he seeks.

Victor likes Lily, but as was true with Audra, Charles (Zuleyka Silver) will not hesitate to cut her loose. Lily will turn hard and might turn back to Billy if that happens.

Whether Thompson’s character will be willing to reunite with the woman who betrayed his trust and whether that will even matter by that point in the plot is a combined open question.
