Y&R Spoilers: Josh Morrow Talks About The “Kiss That Never Was” & How It Could’ve Changed Nick’s Love Life

Young and the Restless (Y&R) spoilers suggest that Nick Newman has had many incredible romances in the land of Genoa City over the years.

The character’s portrayer, Joshua Morrow recently talked to Soaps.com about a missed opportunity with one leading lady and a missed kiss that could’ve shaken the daytime drama and little town.

Y&R Spoilers: Who Would Joshua Morrow Love To See Nick Newman With?

During his Soaps.com interview, Morrow notes that he’d love to see Nick with Lily Winters (Christel Khalil) and has wanted to do a story with her for a while.

He describes Khalil as an “extremely beautiful and talented woman” and he feels the “Nily” pairing is one that hasn’t happened yet. Joshua notes that Nick “loves beautiful women”, so he’d naturally be drawn to Ms. Winters.

In fact, Morrow goes on to recall a scene from Y&R’s history between Nick and Lily. Joshua states that he remembers there a moment when Newman had the Underground bar and Lily arrived at the establishment, having just broken up with someone.

Lily reveals during the conversation that she was “… tired of being the girl that everyone can count on.” She goes on to say, “I should just, I don’t know, just kiss you right now.”

Morrow recalls that his character was caught off guard by Lily’s statement; however, the two never ended up kissing as Winters quickly quipped that she was “just kidding”.

Josh goes on to say he believes that Nick and Lily should have a fling, even though he understands that #TeamShick and #TeamPhick fans would hate the idea.

Still, wouldn’t it be nice to see Nick Newman with someone new for a change? He always seems to go back to his exes, whether that’s Sharon Newman (Sharon Case), Phyllis Summers (Michelle Stafford), or Chelsea Lawson (Melissa Claire Egan)!
