The Young and the Restless (Y&R) spoilers document that Jack Abbott (Peter Bergman) is dealing with family issues. However, Kyle Abbott’s (Michael Mealor) move to Glissade will be exposed as more than an impulse attempt to prove himself to his parents.
Jack and Diane Jenkins Abbott (Susan Walters) are distressed by Kyle’s turn against them. However, the drama will infinitely heighten when they realize it’s part of Victor Newman’s (Eric Braeden) plan to attack them.
Step one was accomplished when Kyle agreed to run Tucker McCall’s (Trevor St. John) former company.
Audra Charles (Zuleyka Silver) artfully pushed her former mentor-plus out of the business he purchased, intending to lead with Ashley Abbott (Eileen Davidson).
The next step in Victor’s perceived chess match involves sullying Billy Abbott’s (Jason Thompson) reputation.
Victor has derisively referred to Billy as Billy-boy for years. His animus is steeped in his being Jack’s brother and then marrying Victoria Newman (Amelia Heinle).
The Moustache infamously targeted Billy when he was in Burma, hiring Chelsea Lawson (Melissa Claire Egan) to trap the character then played by the late, two-time Daytime Emmy winner Billy Miller. Chelsea became pregnant and delivered Johnny Abbott (Paxton Mishkind).
Lily Winters (Christel Khalil) convinced Billy to step back from the newly created Abbott-Chancellor. But that is not stopping Victor from telling Adam Newman (Mark Grossman) to use Newman Media to sully Billy’s character.
Victoria was asked to return to the family business, and she did. But Victor remains at his helm.
He recently told Summer Newman (Allison Lanier) that he still relishes heading Newman Enterprises.
Victor is never satisfied, believing that if he doesn’t continue growing his empire, it could collapse back on him. Along with that approach is his renewed interest in fighting with Jack, fully intending to win.
The heart of Victor’s latest retaliatory strike began with Nikki Newman’s (Melody Thomas Scott) recent battle with alcohol. While Jordan Howard (Colleen Zenk) created that issue, Jack’s ill-fated role as Nikki’s sponsor sparked Victor’s fury.
It is an exaggeration to believe Jack endangered Nikki by ingesting pills. However, Victor does not use logic when degrading Jack.
Peter Bergman’s character believes he and Diane will be able to reconcile with Kyle. That will likely happen in the future. But as of this summer, Jack is about to be unknowingly dragged into a fight with his old nemesis.
Kyle willingly joined Victor to purposely go after Jack, Diane, and Jabot go after Jack, Diane, and Jabot. Billy is about to be blindsided by a public scorching.
Victor’s actions could serve to unite the Abbott family. But until that happens, Jack, Billy, and Kyle are merely part of Victor’s latest devious game.
