Kyle Abbott (Michael Mealor) is usurping her at work, and Jack Abbott (Peter Bergman) is spending way too much time with his ex Nikki Newman (Melody Thomas Scott). Is Diane right to be concerned about Jack and Nikki’s bond, are these two about to get carried away and cheat?
On the May 31 episode, Michael Baldwin (Christian LeBlanc) schooled Diane on the deep bond that Nikki and Jack share—as if she needed to be reminded. His words reiterated what she already fears, that Jack is in Nikki’s grip and there’s nothing she can do about it.
Diane threatened to leave Jack if agreed to continue to be Nikki’s AA sponsor. He fought her but eventually agreed—for now anyway. Can she really trust the man who OD’d to save Nikki’s life?
Jack is also upset about Diane and Kyle’s friction, as well as his sister Ashley Abbott’s (Eileen Davidson) “condition.” Jack does not agree with Diane’s ultimatum so his resentment may push him to do something he later regrets.
The perfect storm seems to be brewing for a cheat fest, what with Diane pressuring Jack and Victor hectoring Nikki. Nikki does not appreciate Victor’s animosity toward the man who saved her life, and things are about to get even more tense between them.
Sooner or later Nikki will start to question why Victor fired his lawyer Michael Baldwin (Christian Le Blanc) right after Jordan (Colleen Zenk) was “found.”
Michael and Cole Howard (J. Eddie Peck) pressured Victor to release her from his homemade prison and Nikki will flip her top when she finds out that Victor had the evil woman at the ranch where she could have done great harm.
An irate Nikki may leave Victor and get a suite at the GCAC where she may run into Jack who could be taking a break from Diane’s wrath. Ruh roh.
The show seems to be pushing these two together and clearly they have a strong friendship that could turn into a night of passion.
