Y&R Spoilers: Colleen Zenk Responds To Daytime Emmy Nomination Snub

The Young and the Restless (Y&R) spoilers reveal that this year’s Daytime Emmy nominations have been announced, and is usually the case, controversy was not far behind.

Social media was lit with fans praising and damning the nominations depending on which of their favorite actors and shows were included and/or left out.

One look at socials reveals that Y&R viewers are talking about Colleen Zenk (Jordan) and Melody Thomas Scott (Nikki Newman) not being on the nomination list.

A lot of conjecture sprung up as to why this was the case with some wondering if Zenk did not submit a reel and others speculating that perhaps she wasn’t eligible because of the timing of her gig.

One fan pointed out that the nominations are for performances in 2023 and stated that Zenk wasn’t on Y&R then so she wouldn’t qualify. Zenk replied to the fan, and things were cleared up!

Zenk stated that she began her stint at the end of 2023 and confirmed that she did submit a reel to the Academy.

Zenk said on X: “Actually, I started airing on Nov. 17, 2023. My last ’23 airdate was Dec. 26th. I did submit. Pass it along! And I am thrilled for all of my #yr family!”

So there you have it, the voters didn’t not consider Zenk’s performance as looney tunes Jordan to be worthy of a Daytime Emmy nomination.

That doesn’t mean that fans agree with the Academy, in fact they are quite vocal that she was very deserving of an Emmy nom.

The Young And The Restless Spoilers – Will Collen Win An Emmy Next Year?

Zenk is airing in 2024 so she’ll have material if she wants to submit a reel for next year’s Daytime Emmys.

Clearly Zenk is a team player, and rooting for her Y&R co-stars. Maybe next year they can root for her!
