Y&R Spoilers: Colleen Zenk On Jordan’s Lock Up, Eric Braeden Going Off Script, & Brussel Sprouts!

Young and the Restless (Y&R) spoilers suggest that Jordan may be locked up in a maximum-security prison at the moment, but no one should count the villainess out for good.

Claire Grace’s (Hayley Erin) crafty escape-artist aunt has had quite the run in Genoa City since she first appeared in late 2023, and actress Colleen Zenk recently talked to Soap Opera Digest (SOD) about her character’s lock up in a cell within the Newman Ranch basement.

Colleen Zenk tells SOD that she had “so much fun” working with Eric Braeden as Victor tormented Jordan.

The two hadn’t gotten to work much when she first arrived on the Y&R scene, and Zenk reveals that her scenes with Braeden during Jordan’s Newman Ranch lock-up were among her favorites.

She notes a scene where Eric went off script. Colleen states, “When Victor flung the Brussel sprouts through the bars and they went all over the floor, I didn’t know it was coming – nobody knew it was coming! Eric didn’t discuss it with anybody. The director didn’t know. He was like ‘Holy s—t! And banging the tray on the bards was something else he came up with.”

Zenk stayed in character during Eric’s improvision and threw a pillow at the veggies, stating “Eric’s doing everything he can to get me and by now he knows he can’t! I’ll play right back to him, and he loves that. We’ve been having a grand time together.”

Y&R Spoilers – Does Colleen Zenk Hate Brussel Sprouts As Much As Jordan?

Speaking of Brussel sprouts, the vegetable, and Jordan’s disdain for them, became a focal point during the characters imprisonment below the Newman Ranch.

Colleen notes that production poured boiling water over the Brussel spouts just before the scene where The Moustache taunted Jordan by eating them in front of her while she was in her cell.

The boiling water over the sprouts created a “steamy” after effect when Victor took the lid off, and they were cooked so that Eric could eat one.

But does Zenk hate the vegetable as much as her alter ego? Colleen states that she “adores” Brussel sprouts and began making them over 20 years ago at Thanksgiving for her kids.

In fact, she has a little cooking tidbit that she shared, noting that she shreds them with a mandolin, until they are fine, and right before serving them, she adds some oil, a little balsamic, a little cognac, and she sautés them for two minutes. Sounds yummy … but Jordan would likely gag at the very idea!
