The Young and the Restless (Y&R) spoilers document that Kyle Abbott (Michael Mealor) knows the truth. His parents perpetrated a long con to force him to see behind the Moustache. It worked, but he’s outraged, which is commonplace.

Fans likely have had enough of Kyle’s extended temper tantrum. Mealor is killing it on multiple levels, offering nicely nuanced performances for many months in this ongoing storyline. This actor’s solid range is repeatedly evident.

Jack Abbott (Peter Bergman) felt it was time to tell Kyle, and Diane Abbott (Susan Walters) agreed. They knew playing soapy hardball was the best plan of attack because of Victor Newman’s (Eric Braeden) reprehensible behavior.

If Jack and Diane are right, Victor was duped. Assuming that’s true would mean that Jack bested his longtime rival in one of the rare instances of victory over Christian Miller, who dubbed himself a victorious new man, translated to Victor Newman decades ago.

It feels hard to imagine that the master chess player, who uses human beings, including his family members, in various life games, was fooled. But unless there is a coming reveal, it’s true.

Yet, Victor still holds Glissade, which he wants to build into a Jabot rival. So, Kyle and Audra Charles (Zuleyka Silver) before him were pure pawns whose purposes were served in varying degrees.

Telling his parents that he needed time to digest everything exposed was expected. How would anyone react after learning that one’s parents lied about breaking up so they could use him to break Victor’s hold?

So, Kyle will be given the time and space to sort out what happened and what it means for his life. However, he must remain solid for Harrison Abbott (Redding Munsell).

Summer Newman (Allison Lanier) is dealing with her mother’s health crisis, which a still unknown hit-and-run driver caused, likely Jordan Howard (Colleen Zenk) or Ian Ward (Ray Wise).

So, Lanier’s character won’t be able to fulfill her motherly duties as usual. Claire Newman (Hayley Erin) will step in again.

Claire sees what Jack and Diane did for Kyle. Erin’s character fell for Kyle earlier this year and is thrilled to have realized his reciprocal response.

Kyle listens to Claire because he’s come to have deep feelings for her. In this dynamic, Claire could contrast the type of twisted family figure Jordan represented versus Jack and Diane’s selfless protective efforts.

Unless a change is coming, Kyle and Claire’s love story should run into next year. It could end in marriage and should be proceeded by her helping him to reconcile with his parents once perspective is gained and some time passes in Genoa City, Wisconsin.
