Y&R Spoilers: Bryton James Talks Devon’s Missed Opportunity With Tucker

Young And The Restless Spoilers: Bryton James Talks Devon’s Missed Opportunity With TuckerYoung and the Restless (Y&R) spoilers suggest that fans won’t likely see Tucker McCall (Trevor St. John) for a long while.

Shortly after he got bamboozled by Audra Charles (Zuleyka Silver) in Paris when she snagged Glissade right from under him, actor Trevor St. John hopped on X and tweeted about his departure from the show.

It’s unclear if the character will get recast; however, since the social media post, fans have not seen or heard from Tucker.

Soaps.com recently caught up with “Tucker’s son”, Bryton James, who plays Devon Hamilton-Winters on the daytime drama, and he offered some thoughts on missed opportunities.

The Young And The Restless Spoilers – Tucker McCall Got A Slew Of Chances

During his Soaps.com interview, Bryton states that his character gave Tucker “more chances” than he should’ve have gotten. James notes that Tucker talked about changing, but never did.

Plus, there was always lie after lie coming out of McCall’s mouth, or a new scheme that Devon found out about. Bryton relays that Devon continued to be disappointed in Tucker over and over again.

Still, why Devon would constantly get disappointed, Bryton enjoyed working with St. James, stating, “For me, as an actor, it’s been a lot of fun, because I get to work with the incredible Trevor St. John, and that is a pleasure.”

Y&R Spoilers – Could Tucker McCall Get Recast?

Tucker McCall entered the canvas in 2009, originally played by William Russ. The role was then recast with Stephen Nichols (Days of Our Lives’s Steve Johnson) later in 2010 after Russ’s exit until McCall left GC in 2013. St. John was placed into the part in 2022.

As there have been so many “Tuckers”, it’s hard for fans not to wonder if the reason the soap hasn’t tied up McCall’s storyline is because another “Tucker” is on the horizon.

In fact, St. James’s tweet seemed to indicate that, as his “exit” announcement stated, “As you well know, Tuckers come and Tuckers go, and so the cycle continues … this Tucker is in his go phase.”
