The Young and the Restless (Y&R) spoilers document that Audra Charles (Zuleyka Silver) loves the game as much as Victor Newman (Eric Braeden). However, her usefulness in engineering the Glissade takeover is proving problematic.

Kyle Abbott (Michael Mealor) is another of Victor’s chosen agents. His role is to agitate Jack Abbott (Peter Bergman). At the same time, Victor knows that Summer Newman’s (Allison Lanier) intense feelings must be allayed.

Devoted viewers recall when the recast from longtime cast member Hunter King (Summer) was made. Lanier took over and extended the more mature version of this character that King was beginning to play.

Kyle and Summer were blissful in Italy. They loved their life with Harrison Locke (Redding Munsell), his last name at that point in the plot.

Harrison’s name adjustment to Abbott was realized more recently. Lanier’s current dialogue enlightened the audience that she adopted Tara Locke’s (Elizabeth Leiner) son while Summer and Kyle lived in Europe and headed Marchetti.

But Italian love has since turned to bitter contempt, including Summer suing Kyle for full custody.

Describing Kyle as an obnoxious, self-involved jerk would be apt. As viewers recall, he treated Audra as a transaction.

She appeared to front casualness but seemed to be developing feelings for him when they were briefly together if one wants to use that phrase.

Kyle’s demeanor with Claire Grace (Hayley Erin) starkly contrasts how he treats Summer, the supposed love of his life.

While Kyle and Summer battled and broke up, their second marriage appears to affirm the depth of their feelings.

Still feeling justified for throwing Summer and their marriage away because she kept Phyllis Summers’ (Michelle Stafford) secret about being alive, Kyle now has only contempt for Lanier’s character. He appears undeterred in punishing her for perceived moral crimes committed against him.

Victor told Summer he had spoken with Kyle and had taken care of her request. Since Summer can not tolerate Audra being near Kyle, Victor’s fix will be intriguing.

Audra was needed to obtain Glissade. But she is not necessarily irreplaceable. Kyle’s role in Victor’s cruel effort is to use him as a tool to drive Jack wild.

All has yet to be revealed either. So, Victor is highly unlikely to cut Kyle until every bit of angst he wants has been elicited.

Summer wants Audra to have no contact with Harrison. That means Silver’s character will likely need to have no contact with Kyle, though she may be able to retain her business role as an entirely silent and detached co-head.
