Y&R Spoilers: Ashley’s Fall Return Brings Speculation – Are Her Alters Really Gone?

Young and the Restless (Y&R) spoilers indicate the show has been laying the groundwork for Ashley Abbott’s (Eileen Davidson) return.

Not only did Abby Newman-Abbott (Melissa Ordway) mention it while talking about wedding dates to Devon Hamilton-Winters (Bryton James), but it was also stated during the Wednesday, August 14 episode when Alan Laurent (Christopher Cousins) and Traci Abbott (Beth Maitland) returned to Genoa City and met up with Jack Abbott (Peter Bergman), Diane Jenkins-Abbott (Susan Walters), as well as Billy Abbott (Jason Thompson) for an impromptu lunch at Society.

Everyone seems very excited about Ashley returning home; however, upon her comeback, will people question her recovery?

The Young And The Restless Spoilers – What Caused Ashley Abbott’s DID?

Y&R spoilers note that fans still don’t know the trauma that triggered Ashley’s dissociative identity disorder (DID).

Jack and Traci once speculated that she may have learned that John Abbott (Jerry Douglas) wasn’t her bio dad far sooner than anyone realized.

Still, at the end of the day, anything could’ve happened, so it’ll be interesting to see the reason why Ms. Abbott, Belle, and Ash popped up in the first place.

The show is sure to address all this at some point after Ashley’s return, but it may turn out to be a mystery that lingers for weeks or months after she comes back.

Y&R Spoilers – Could Ashley Abbott’s DID Return?

Ashley is genuinely committed to recovery, and from the sounds of it, has been working tirelessly at the facility in France. Still, loved ones and family will have a close eye on Ashley upon her return.

There’s always going to be a worry now that something could happen to Ashley to trigger her alters back to the surface. Without knowing what caused it in the first place, anything could cause Ashley to snap.

This is a soap opera after all, and Ashley’s DID storyline the first time around was fantastic. It wouldn’t be overly surprising if writers wanted to revisit it and add another layer to the arc.

One interesting change since Ashley’s facility visit is the love that has blossomed between Alan and Traci. Does Ashley know about this? Will she be a fan of Tralan?

Everyone around Traci is happy she’s found love; will her sister feel the same? Plus, with Dabby’s wedding on the horizon, November 13 to be exact, could one of Ashley’s alters surface at the wrong moment?

Will Ashley enter a new storyline when she returns, or will something happen where her alters emerge?
