Y&R Spoilers: Are Adam & Chelsea To Blame For Connor’s OCD Condition?

Young and the Restless (Y&R) spoilers indicate that Chelsea Lawson (Melissa Claire Egan) and Adam Newman (Mark Grossman) are facing a very challenging time with their son, Connor Newman (Judah Mackey).

The boy was recently diagnosed with obsessive-compulsive disorder (OCD), and it’s been challenging for the parents to process; however, dropping him off at the facility recently had the two reeling upon their return to Genoa City.

Y&R spoilers note that during the Friday, April 5 episode, Adam and Chelsea returned to town from dropping Connor off at the Maryland facility, in a very somber mood.

While they were supposed to stay at the treatment center for about a week or so to settle their son in, upon his first therapy session, the doctor asked them to leave right away, as it seemed that they believed his parents were triggering his OCD.

Adam was irate at the very thought, while Chelsea felt guilty. After all, she struggled with mental health issues some time back and almost took her own life.

Still, is the facility correct about this all, or could something more be at play?

Y&R Spoilers – Connor Newman Has Had A Very Unstable Childhood

Like most youngsters in the land of soaps, Connor has had an unstable childhood. Placing Chelsea’s mental health issues aside, as it wasn’t her fault that she went through this, his life has been like a rollercoaster.

His father was once thought to be dead (only to return to Genoa City, very much alive); his mom took off from GC in 2018, and went on the run with him; he was traumatized during a Grand Phoenix gunpoint situation at a very young age; Chelsea was wheelchair bound, unable to speak or talk for months.

He watched his father obsess over Sharon Newman (Sharon Case), while he was still “with” Chelsea; he found out his cousin, Johnny Abbott (Paxton Mishkind) was actually his half-brother; he lost a very good friend in Rey Rosales (Jordi Vilasuso) unexpectedly – and these are the Cole’s notes to what happened to him during his little life.

All the while, he’s grown up watching his parents bicker and fight to the bitter end.

Any child would be more than a little shaken after all these events, even with the therapy Connor has had, right?
