Y&R Spoilers: Adam’s Refusal To Accept Claire Triggers Her To Backslide

Young and the Restless (Y&R) spoilers suggest a recent episode hints at trouble on the horizon between Claire Grace (Hayley Erin) and Adam Newman (Mark Grossman).

While Adam should be the first one who understands Claire’s plight, it seems the Newman black sheep is less than enthusiastic about accepting Victoria Newman’s (Amelia Heinle) long-lost daughter.

Y&R spoilers reveal that during the Tuesday, March 12 show, Adam threw shade Claire’s way about her past.

In fact, he implied that she may still be in cahoots with her Aunt Jordan (Colleen Zenk), and he was shocked “everyone” was so willing to move forward, considering all his niece did at the lake house.

While no one can blame Adam for having reservations, Claire was apprehensive about being accepted by the Newman family while she was in the mental health facility.

Momma bear Vicky assured her everything would be okay, but Adam’s statements during Tuesday’s show proved Claire’s point.

While she did stand up for herself, there has to be a little piece inside of her that not only worries about what he thinks but the rest of the Newman family (cousins, aunts, etc.), along with the public opinion of other Genoa City residents.

Y&R Spoilers – Claire Grace Takes A Massive Step Back

Claire’s come a very long way. Thanks to the support of Vicky, Cole Howard (J. Eddie Peck), and her grandparents, she continues to grow stronger each day.

However, while she may be able to fluff off her initial encounter with Adam, if he remains skeptical of her, this could pose a problem.

If he possibly does something underhanded, which causes her to trip up, everything Aunt Jordan said about the Newman family could come rushing back.

She knows she can trust her parents, and Nikki Newman (Melody Thomas Scott) will remain supportive, but what about Victor Newman (Eric Braeden)? Fans know he can be wishy-washy when it comes to matters like this.

He convinced Claire to help him nab Jordan and was super sweet to her in the process, but that doesn’t mean he will prioritize her and her mental health if things go south.

Could Claire regress in the aftermath of Jordan’s capture? Especially if Adam or any other Newman has doubts? Could she do something drastic or simply just run away? Comment on this storyline below!
