Not telling Sally about being with Chelsea in Baltimore, Maryland, was understandable. But choosing to lie to Sally’s face when she gave him the chance to admit the truth may have cost him Sally indefinitely.

Viewers know that the Delia Abbott (Sophie Pollono) dies storyline ranks with the saddest ever seen on this soap. Adam did not intentionally hit her with his fabled black sports utility vehicle on that desolate road on the outskirts of Genoa City, Wisconsin.

Instead, he was distracted and appeared to have struck Delia, who Billy didn’t keep his eye on. And that plot point is at the heart of why he loathes Adam.

Billy knows that his negligence cost Delia her life. Scapegoating Adam became easy when he covered up what happened so Connor Newman (Judah Mackey) could receive Delia’s corneas. Adam also didn’t want to go to jail.

Y&R Spoilers – Sally Spectra Appears Done

How much can any one person be expected to take? No one blames Sally for walking away from Adam after the revealed lie about Baltimore. She took approximately a year to forgive Adam the last time, with Ava’s miscarriage influencing both parents deeply.

Sally even slow-walked this reconciliation, making Adam prove himself at each step of the way. But Connor’s mental health issues sparked a scenario where Adam and Chelsea were alone in a suite, and their latent feelings erupted.

Unless either Sally or Adam is lying near death in the near future, nothing should prevent her from retaining the split. Adam is telling Connor that he and Sally will get back together. But his son senses that his dad is thinking wishfully.

The Young And The Restless Spoilers – Chelsea Lawson Must Evaluate First

Chelsea hoped Billy would forgive her transgression. He understood why she did not want to hurt him, but he again applied blame to Adam rather than seeing reality as it was and is.

Egan’s character does care about Adam. As he said, their reconnection in Baltimore reinforces their bond.

However, she must evaluate whether reconciling with him would be wise. Chelsea must ask herself if any factors have changed that would prevent another failed attempt.

Yet, their attraction might be enough to allow a reunion exploration as a theory. From there, Chelsea and Adam could experience a genuine revival.
