Y&R Spoilers: Adam And Chelsea Remarry Or Dissolve?

The Young and the Restless (Y&R) spoilers document that Adam Newman (Mark Grossman) believes he and Conner Newman’s (Judah Mackey) mother should be together.

Adam is persuasive, as Sally Spectra (Courtney Hope) knows, and has a set method of creating his intended reality.

Chelsea Lawson (Melissa Claire Egan) still loves Adam, but being twice married to him taught her hard lessons. His behavior patterns have modestly softened, but his penchant for pulling her down during his repeated periods of descent persists.

It’s been ten years in real-time since Adam and Chelsea’s second marriage ended. The first union took place from 2012 to 2013. Grossman’s tenure began in 2019. So, an anticipated re-pairing would include the fresh interpretation he and Egan could offer.

The Young And The Restless Spoilers – Pops Approves Of Chadam

Grossman’s edition of Adam rarely referred to Victor by using the derisive term pops. That slam came from the Michael Muhney (Adam) era, which was arguably, if not certainly, the most contentious between Victor and his namesake son.

Victor Adam Newman Junior began to mature after the car crash that he and Billy Abbott (played through that time by one of the great daytime actors of his generation, Billy Miller) survived. Justin Hartley (Adam) came next and exuded significant cool from 2014 through 2016.

The development of Adam from Hartley’s version to Grossman’s debut and through today is noteworthy. Most recently, Adam told Jack Abbott (Peter Bergman) that he knows Victor has his best interests at heart.

Jack countered Adam’s current take on the Moustache. However, Victor’s subsequent endorsement of Adam’s intention to revive Chadam supports Grossman’s character’s feelings.

Y&R Spoilers – Chelsea Lawson Beyond Billy Abbott

It was a nice try, but the reunion with Billy fell apart. He can’t trust her after she was with Adam.

Billy Abbott (currently played by Jason Thompson) could have accepted Chelsea’s impulsive mistake if it had been any other guy, like Nick Newman (Joshua Morrow). But her admission of being with Adam reinforces Billy’s belief that she’s never been over him.

Add to the above that Adam is the one person on the planet that Billy loathes more than any other, specifically because he covered up accidentally killing Delia Abbott (Sophie Pollono).

So, it was just too much for Billy to take, and he ended up with a good connection with Chelsea built on trust and mutual redemption.

The Young And The Restless Spoilers – Adam Newman Must Avoid Sabotage

In this case, she is not Sally. While he loves Sally, Adam also recognizes that she’s done him for now.

A reboot with Sally can eventually happen. But that’s likely going to happen next year. So, Adam is falling back on the tried-and-true.

He is not wrong to believe that a spark still exists with Chelsea. However, whether they can build on it and then sustain a relationship will be seen this fall and probably through the winter unless Adam sabotages himself, as Chelsea and Connor have experienced.
