Y&R Comings And Goings: A Newbie Sticks Around Longer, A Fan Favorite Returns And Evil Is Back

The Young and The Restless (Y&R) spoilers and updates tease one recent cast addition is sticking around longer than he expected; Alan Laurent (Christopher Cousins).

Two other players, Adam Newman (Mark Grossman) and Chelsea Lawson’s (Melissa Claire Egan) son, Connor Newman (Judah Mackey) returns, as does evil Aunt Jordan (Colleen Zenk).

The Young And The Restless Spoilers – It’s Uncertain How Long Alan Laurent Stays

Christopher Cousins will be sticking around in his role as Ashley Abbott’s (Eileen Davidson) friend and psychiatrist, Alan Laurent, for a bit longer.

Originally set to film scenes until April, the actor will now be on set through May. “I’m really thankful that they’re keeping me on,” Cousins shared with Soaps In Depth.

However, he remained tight-lipped about any further details. “I’m not sure what I’m allowed to reveal, so I’ll just keep quiet for now.”

Currently, the character is dealing with Ashley’s so far, three alters-Ash, Ms. Abbott and Belle; Cousins is probably best known for playing Cain Rogan on ABC soap One Life To Live.

Y & R Spoilers – Troubled Ten Year Old Connor Newman Returns

Face it-Connor’s family medical history doesn’t predict a normal outcome for the troubled ten year old, who is now suffering from obsessive-compulsive disorder.

Both of his parents, Adam and Chelsea have had periods in their lives where they were very messed up emotionally and mentally; Adam, post-traumatic stress and repressed memories.

Adam killed a man in defense of his blind mother, Hope Wilson (Signy Coleman) very close to the age Connor is now, and repressed the memories for years.

Chelsea recently recovered from major depression and suicidal tendencies and a suicide attempt, but before that, went through a very psychotic time following her recovery from a brain aneurysm.  Connor will be back on May 21.

The Young And The Restless Spoilers – Aunt Jordan Resurfaces

Colleen Zenk will make a comeback as Jordan Howard on Tuesday, May 21, Wednesday, May 22, and Thursday, May 23. Keep an eye out for the character as she devises a plan to break free from Victor Newman’s (Eric Braeden) clutches after being discovered by her nephew Cole Howard (J. Eddie Peck).

Victor will be caught in his lies by Cole, who’s been suspicious of Victor’s story that Jordan is dead after falling off a bridge, supposedly drowning.

Instead, Victor availed himself of the jail cell constructed by him in an old bomb shelter below the ranch house for his first wife’s lover, Michael Scott (Nick Benedict).

Jordan’s been trapped there ever since, tortured with everything from vodka to Brussels sprouts, which make her ill!
